I try very hard to be involved in the writing community year-round, not just during November. So, if anyone is looking to get some face-to-face critique, I've put together a small group that meets in Lawrence once a month. It's rather casual; we give feedback but also chat about what's going on in our career efforts in general. For November's meeting, we're planning on checking-in on each other's NaNo progress, among other things.
The next meeting is Saturday, November 8th, at 10:30AM.

I've been looking for something like this! I couldn't believe a place like KU didn't have a writers' group! I'm glad there is SOME place in Lawrence where writers meet!

Ted and I and a couple others have been trying to get a group of writers together the past year or so and haven't had much luck. Looks like we might be merging into your group, Nightshade ;)
