I try very hard to be involved in the writing community year-round, not just during November. So, if anyone is looking to get some face-to-face critique, I've put together a small group that meets in Lawrence once a month (I'm in Olathe myself). It's rather casual; we give feedback but also chat about what's going on in our career efforts in general. For November's meeting, we're planning on checking-in on each other's NaNo progress, among other things.
