We have lots of great stuff planned for this year, so hold on to your keyboards!

But, first, I just wanted to say hi, everyone! Welcome to the newbies, welcome back to the old vets. We're happy you've all decided to join us on this crazy noveling adventure.

I'm Erin, I'm your tour guide. Actually, I'm one of 5 municipal liaisons for New York City. We're your event planners, your cheerleaders, your helpers. Once November starts, I'll be sending out a weekly email with pep and cheer and meetup reminders. We'll also have a Google calendar on which all of our events are (or will be) posted, and we'll make announcements here. The thing with having a city this big, and with having five of us, is that it works out that there's a meetup somewhere in the city almost every day of November, so if you want some in-person support or just to meet a really great group of people, please come on out!

Send any questions my way. And happy writing!

I'm replying to add that this year, in addition to our Flickr Pool (wherein you can see us VERY HARD AT WORK on our novels... okay, so we also party a lot), we have a Twitter on which we will post meetup reminders and other various things. There will also be a chat room, but we're still working out the kinks (trying to avoid some of the problems we had last year with overloaded servers and people getting kicked off). I'll post a link in the header when that's figured out.

Glad to be here! I was NaNoing in Florida last year, so it's my first NYC NaNo. :)

Hey all.

First timer here. I work an erratic night schedule at my job so I usually write around 5am or so. But Friday night is one of my only nights off and the meetup is so close to my apartment (just moved to Greenwich Village from the East village) so I'll try and swing by.

Starting to get my groove on now, but still gotta catch up to the quota!
