Hello everyone!

Name: Jennifer/Jennerosity
Location: Cloverdale
Years Done NaNo: 2007 & 2008
Years Won NaNo: 2007 & 2008
Hobbies/Interests/Work: Right now, most of my hobbies and interests revolve around writing and getting things ready for NaNoWriMo this year. But, when I'm not doing that, I'm also a huge geek! I like games, computers, tech, Star Trek, etc. etc. I also like to try a bunch of different fitness related things. For instance, during this year's NaNo, I will be subjecting myself to the P90X diet and workouts (one of which I'm supposed to be doing right now) but I've also done boxing, kick boxing, belly dancing, and a few other things in the past. I'm also going to be spending not enough time refreshing my Japanese skills for my second trip to Japan this February with my husband. As for work, I am a professional gambler who works for organized crime.

Hobbies/Interests/Work:
I like doodling, music and all sorts of generic things. And dance. I love dance, even if I suck horribly at it right now because I'm out of shape. Like Jennerosity, my hobbies largely revolve around Nanowrimo prep work now, even though I won't know what I'm writing until the 25th. I currently work as a professional fangirl.

Done & Won Nano - 2007 & 2008

Hobbies, Interests & Work: I wear many hats and happily I like all of them. I run a web design company for new and small businesses and write my butt off trying to make it big (err... trying to make it big as a writer that, is not trying to make my butt big)

Years Won NaNoWriMo:2005, 2006, 2008, and 2645.
Hobbies/Interests/Work: Computers, Writing, Fish, Bonsai, Trains, other things I've forgotten. I'm currently attempting to get published in some way, shape or form. 2009 will be my 5th year doing Nano (since 2645 technically hasn't happened yet). I'm a pretty big nerd with the ability to rattle off random quotes that I have no business remembering. The Easter Bunny and I are no longer speaking, so don't ask about it. I'm currently working for a large software company downtown and anxiously awaiting the night of the 31st so I can find out what I'm writing about this year! I'm looking forward to seeing everyone come to our events!

Years Won NaNoWriMo: Never won as never did it before ;)
Hobbies/Interests/Work: My main hobbies are video games, reading, and writing ( of course). My interests usually are anything that has to do with entertainment: Film, theater, games, computers and technology in general. Obviously, I'm just another geek lurking around the internet. I've got a collage of video game art that I work on from time to time to prove it. The human need to be entertained, especially through any form of games, just fascinates me. As November draws closer, I've been limiting the games in order to focus myself more on writing to prepare for NaNo. Games can steal a lot of production time away. ;)

Hobbies/Interests/Work: I'm an incurably nerdy chick with a penchant for geekery, writing, design, and technology. Been known to moonlight as a superhero but can't say which one. Outside of Nano, I freelance as a writer and designer. I was the BC:Elsewhere ML for a couple of years but figured that since I moved to the Lower Mainland that it might be good to pass the torch to someone else. Those of you who knew me there, you'll know I also have a love of muffins. An intense love of them. Might even be considered forbidden bordering on inappropriate.

Hello!

Name: Brandy
Location: East Van (represent?)
Years Done NaNoWriMo: some time in the early 2000's, but it barely counts because I fizzled out in the first week.
Years Won NaNoWriMo: Never!
Hobbies/Interests/Work: Jobless at the moment, so my hobbies have completely taken over. I'm hopelessly devoted to music and most of my friends are in at least one band, currently working on a rather large drawing project, and I've been taking kung fu for about a year now. I take a lot of photos, but I wouldn't call it "photography". Pointing and shooting is about as far as I go.

I'm hoping to make it past Week 1 this time!

Hobbies/Interests/Work: When not writing, reading, or staring blankly at my computer screen, I garden, cook, knit, watch sci fi, and try to take over the world. I'm still pumped about winning last year since I spent most of the month lagging behind and almost dropped out in the last week. This year my Nano goal is to write something that doesn't suck.
In other news, I can't believe this is already happening again. Sunrise, sunset, etc., etc.

Hobbies/Interests/Work:
I have an ongoing interest in WMA and practice as often as I am able. Reading voraciously would I guess be my only other hobby. And can coffee be a hobby?

Work is fairly mundane: I am a Partsman for Masonlift ltd, selling parts for the material handling industry.

As for Nanowrimo I have a penchant for starting word wars over the IRC channel.

Lots of Word Wars.

Years Done NaNoWriMo: I honestly don't remember which years I've done NaNo, but I have been participating off and on since about 2000. The years I am certain of are 2006, 2007, 2008.
Years Won NaNoWriMo: I have never won NaNo, but I achieved a personal milestone of 35,000 words last year! In each previous year I have given up or gotten too busy after about 3000 words!
Hobbies/Interests/Work:
Hobbies/Interests - Horse-back riding, dog agility, reading, writing, bird watching and random look ups of mythology or history.
Work - I am a corporate receptionist at a credit union head office. Fun, fun! I get to play on computers and talk to people for a living - love it!

Hobbies/Interests/Work: I'm a Bach of Sci major who adores all things art. Painting, music, writing, crafting... I do it all. Not very well mind you hehe. Currently I teach special needs Math/English in a homeschool setting. First year doing that and it's SO rewarding! Looking forward to possibly getting my first novel out my head and on paper in some form or another!

Hobbies/Interests/Work: I'm in my second year at UBC persuing a Japanese language Major and English language minor. Usually my routine consists of facebook, homework, going out with friends to eat and shop, or spend time at home~ This year, I thought "why not add a novel in the mix." :)

Hello everyone! I just moved to Vancouver from Edmonton and am looking forward to meeting you all! I'm itching to get writing this year.

Name: Christine
Location: Vancouver
Years Done NaNo: 2006,2007,2008
Years Won NaNo: 2006,2007,2008
Hobbies/Interests/Work: Well I quit my job in Edmonton to go back to school at UBC, which I guess makes me a mature student! I am obsessed with travel. I enjoy hiking, taking belly dancing classes, art and history in general, and am always picking up new hobbies and then neglecting them. I consider mysel a Jack of All Trades, Master of None. And of course I like writing!!

Hobbies/Interests/Work: I am a first year student at UBC, and previously I lived in New York. I am studying East Asian Studies, but I might change my major to Linguistics, Creative Writing, or Art History - we'll just see where things go, shall we? Other than writing, I am an avid reader, movie goer, metalhead, and occasional anime enthusiast. I am particularly fond of linguistics and cultural studies, and I am one of those girls who insisted on purchasing the font size "negative 3" compact, gargantuan dictionary that you need a magnifying glass to read. I own many classical pieces of literature (and mythology), encyclopedias on such subjects as plagues, mythology, and warfare, and I am always doing Japanese work - intensive courses are a bitch.

Name Kayla
Participated I've done the NaNo thing every year since I was a junior. That's since 04 but I've been participating on the site and with the local group since 05.
Won Every year since I started playing nice with the locals. Having someone to be disappointed in me helps motivate my lazy ass. I've only once finished the story however, beginning, middle, end, and that was in 06.
Hobbies 'n' Stuff I'm in college, changing my English Lit Major to a Double Major History and English Lit (or possibly Journalism, somehow the thought of wearing a trench coat and fedora while chasing down the story of a lifetime appeals to me). I write all year round, if I thought I could survive as a novelist I'd do it. Other than that I knit, I sew, I read comics, cook like a fool and I am an expert crayonist. You heard me. Crayonist.

Years Done NaNoWriMo: This is my first year.
Hobbies/Interests/Work: I'm a student in grade eight so I mostly do homework, homework and homework. (Also , this year is the first I could join NanoWriMo without being illegal! Yay!) My school has a pretty well-stocked, nice-smelling (of old books) library, so I go there often. I sometimes make icons (avatars), photo manips and other graphics. I like watching musicals and plays, and my favorites are Stephen Sondheim's Company and Frank Loesser's Guys and Dolls. (Incidentally, did anyone else see Les Miserables at the Stanley Theatre this past summer? I thoroughly enjoyed it and actually went twice, even though tickets were uber-expensive.) Evidently, I need to work on transitions.

EDIT: Omygah. I can't believe I typed out the plural of favorite as "favorite's." Fixed.

Years Won NaNoWriMo: Do I really need to answer this? Just look at my last answer.
Hobbies/Interests/Work: There really isn't much to say about me. I'm a high school student, and I'm taking some honours courses, so naturally, my homework level is a bit crazy or it will definitely be for November. Due to that, have no idea why I'm insane enough to try this, but social lives are optional, right? If I'm not scribbling in a notebook or reading under my desk, I'm probably either off playing some sort of sport, or playing music. If you can't tell by my username, I'm a bit of a Harry Potter geek (but only a LITTLE :D). That's pretty much it. See? I'm not actually that interesting.

Hobbies/Interests/Work: I'm in ninth grade, I like public speaking and debating and writing poetry, and some prose. I like to run in the forest, I like music, I like drawing and painting on the computer with my tablet, and I like food. Writing makes me feel not lonely and very free. I am obsessed with Rubik's cubes. I don't like writing about myself so that's it for Hobbies/Interests/Work!

Aside from writing, I take dance pretty seriously too. I've been dancing Hip-Hop for 4 years and I also do Lyrical and Jazz. I do competitions because they're fun, I'm on my school's dance team, and I'll be auditioning with my studio group for a showcase in around December. I love basketball and volleyball, not that I'm actually very good but it's fun =P. I absolutely love novels. Reading is a good passtime of mine. I'm a romance kind of girl, but bring on the action/adventure, drama, angst, supernatural, fantasy! Music is also a big interest of mine, I often say 'I cannot live without music.' and it's very true...I could never live without the words/lyrics, the beat, and the fun! =)

Oh! I forgot Work: which automatically translates to School: for me. =) I'm in the 10th grade, the jump from grades is dramatic and is ultimately taking a toll on me and my writing time. If I'm not able to write the 50,000 words (which will probably be due to homework and such) at least I tried.

I'm slowly turning into a running fanatic, currently jogging three times a week, contemplating switching to five. I am also a bit of a geek and love gadgets. Work over the past few years has mainly been in the realm of tech support and IT.

I haven't been writing as much as I used to so I thought this would be a good opportunity to get creative again. Professionally, I'm I set dresser for locally filmed TV shows, and the resident decorator at a local theatre. My goal is to finish a comprehensive story. Hobbies/Interests/Work: Like abulia, I too am a former EdmoWriMo who has moved to B.C. I've been here seven months now, and have been able to expand upon my interests quite readily. I enjoy Martial Arts (background in Tae Kwon Do) and have now forged forward in the wide world of MMA in order to get my foot into the Amateur door. My plan was to start school this semester, but I decided that I wanted to try finance my way through school instead of getting a loan. This has resulted in two jobs and six days a week.
This will be my fifth NaNo and my first away from Edmonton, which scares me a bit. Just one more challenge to overcome right?

Years Done NaNoWriMo: No idea which ones.
Years Won NaNoWriMo: None. November seems to be a bad month for me. The first year I tried, my mother died on Nov. 4. The next time I tried I got a wicked flu at the end of the first week. The last time I ended up with a week long migraine that started mid-month. Fingers crossed for this year (N1H1 stay away!)
Hobbies/Interests/Work: reading, writing, movies, music. I'm an amateur Egyptologist. I love doing research. I'm a bit of a sci-fi geek. I'm into anything "paranormal" (who the heck came up with that word anyway?) Normally I have a puppy with me where ever I go but I'm taking a break for the next few months. I puppy raise hearing dogs for Pacific Assistance Dogs (PADS)
