I’m poetT, one of the MLs for the Kansas City area–and that includes you.
We have a lot lined up for NaNoWriMo 2009 in our area:
-Kick-Off Meetings, including October 10 in Johnson County, at the Central Resource Library!
-November write-ins (including some at Central Resource Library)
-forum camaraderie
-Thank Goodness It's Over Party
-Write-ins (twice-monthly) through the rest of the year

Even if you live on the Kansas side (I’m in Overland Park, myself), you are part of our KanMoWriCollective. (You can keep an affiliation here in Kansas, too, so you can easily get to both forums–that’s what I do.) If you are in the metro, go ahead and make Missouri::Kansas City your home. That helps us know better how to egg you on to 50K.

I'm fairly close to that area. We're down in Franklin county, but we're in Johnson county at least once a week for this, that, or the other. :)

My name is Christine and I live in Olathe. I'm excited about my first year. I used to write off and on, but stopped for some time. I hope this jump starts me back into writing daily. Hope to hear about meet ups here in Johnson Co.
