I'm going to set up a weekly write in in the Johns Creek area this November.

I'm thinking either before noon, mid morning start time, or a later start time around 830 on a Monday - Thursday.

Who else is doing NaNoWriMo in the Johns Creek area? What times would work best for you?

I'm also thinking we'd do it either at the Starbucks or the Caribou coffee in the big old johns creek shopping center around 141 and McGinnis Ferry.

I know where that is!
I don't know how many (if any) I might be able to come to. My schedule has gone totally haywire and I need to beat it back into submission once I start portfolio school next week, so I can't volunteer any times just yet, but I'll try to make them!

I'm not sure whether I'd get more or less done at a write-in, but I'm game to try.

On the "Introductions" thread for "Rest of Georgia" there's another NaNoWriMo rookie who works in JC. I've already posted the idea of a weekly lunch-time check-in. I can easily merge that into what you're thinking of.

At 141 cross 120 are two other cafes which might serve too (White Windmill and Mozart). Mozart's somewhat larger than either Starbucks or Caribou, and definitely has wifi. Both are tied to bakeries, so there's a variety of foods to hand. There's pretty quiet too, if that helps some folks.

I may be able to make some of the JC write ins, but am not sure about my schedule, so don't plan it around me. Panera Bread Co at 141 and McGinnis Ferry is a great place to meet- plenty of room, free wifi, great food, etc. That Starbucks in JC has very limited space (if it's the one by Game Stop).

Okay, I know my schedule now... my friend and I can meet on a weekday around 9am. We have kids in school so would need to leave by 2pm. Anyone planning a daytime meetup in the area? Nights are going to be hard for me this month.

Hope to meet you soon! Write on...

I could do weekday mornings Mon-Thursday starting next week, starting at 9. I would need to leave around noon to get over to work. Which day is best for y'all

I was scrolling through the list and Johns Creek was closest so I'll be at the next one. I'll tell you what I'm going to wear...

Um... congrats Matt on your WIN!!! Woohoo!

So can anyone meet at Panera Bread tomorrow morning (Tues Nov 10th) around 8:30 or 9? It's at the corner of 141 and McGinnis. They have great food/coffee, & plenty of space. They have outlets and free wifi, but we should maybe bring a power strip if there are a lot of us.

No worries- traffic was a mess. We are meeting Friday, but I think you said Fri was no good for you? We may be at the Norcross one on Sunday... I want to buy a NaNoMuseRock. :)

Back to writing...

I am not even a quarter finished with my novel. Starting two days late has hurt my word count.
I don't think I'll go to the Johns Creek Write-in, actually; I'll be at the Cumming one. It's even closer!

Unfortunately I am a huge fan of the Office, which is on at 9. So I would have to leave as soon as I show up on Thursday nights haha. But I've got the Cumming ones I can go to so it's okay

EDIT: Ooh I just saw the one this Friday morning. That might work!

Most likely. Depends on if I get my schoolwork done and if I can get a car (we have a shared one at home)

I'm here now if anyone is coming- purple cardigan sweater in the back corner (if you're looking at the counter, it's the corner to your right and behind you).

I'd love to but I didn't get my schoolwork done >_< Too busy writing last night haha. I guess it's a bit ironic
