Hey!

Getting a thread started for us Carroll County Wrimos. How you guys doin? Getting psyched for November yet? *laughs*

Hopefully we can organize some more write-ins this year. I'm willing to travel, so wherever works out best for you guys. Though if you want to go for Westminster, there's a coffee shop in the mall that we could meet in. Free wifi for distractions a plenty, coffee, and comfy couches!

I actually have a ride who does NaNo, so I can get about as far afield as Westminster.

Awesome! The more the merrier! When we get a few more people from Carroll County, we can start making some plans I guess.

Although I do propose a pajama night. Just because I would love an excuse to buy these really comfy pjs I saw in Wal Mart.

Heather, you never need an excuse to buy comfy pjs!

Hello again, my Carroll County lovelies! =D How's the year been treating you?

I don't need one, but it makes me feel better when I swipe my card. *laughs*

I bought an awesome car this year, so it's been pretty all right. How has yours been?

I do not have an awesome car, that's for sure. I'm still driving the one that I got into an accident with LAST nano. >.< haha. Not too much to report, have a rather spiffy boy that I'm quite fond of now-depending on where you graduated from, you may know him, actually. I'm looking to get out of my apartment, but other than that, the year's been all in all pretty okay.

My laptop power cord broke, though, so till that gets fixed I'm on pen and paper, which SUCKS something fierce. I'm a technophile officially, I think.

Dude, that sucks about your car. Cool about your boy, though. I probably don't know him; I graduated from Carroll Christian. Small graduating class. Sorry about your laptop cord too. I broke mine by accident awhile back, but thankfully they had a new one at Office Depot.

*laughs* Cuddles! And...Plot the bunny, wasn't it? Cuddles is totally coming along to write-ins this year too.

Haha, yes, Plot the Bunny. He'll be attending write-ins as well.

Speaking of write-ins....anyone have a day that works well for them? I know we did Thursdays last year.

I'm on the same schedule as last year. Available after 6 Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday and available after 7 on Thursday and Friday. Sometimes I get off around 4, but 6 and 7 is the latest that I'll get off. I work every other weekend from 8-1 Saturday and 9:30 - 1 on Sunday.

well, i'm available after 5 in Westminster M-F, and I'm generally free on weekends. Whatever works best for you will work for me by default.

I ordered a new laptop plug yesterday..huzzah! =D

Thursdays and Wednesdays are awful for me, weekends are excellent.

And do elaborate as to what nano, pajamas, and write ins have to do with each other? I reckon I can fill in the blanks... but... stories are better than speculation ;)

What don't those three things have in common? *laughs* I just find it quite comfortable to be in pajamas and I'm looking for an excuse to buy some new ones. Nano gives me many excuses to do things.

Weekend afternoons work fine for me no matter what weekend it is. In fact, I'm lucky enough to have off the kickoff weekend. I propose breakfast somewhere that fine Sunday morning.

I'd be down for breakfast, if you don't mind me being SEVERELY hung over. It's the day after Halloween, which is also the first Saturday I can LEGALLY drink, soooo...I am not planning on being sober. XD

I'm usually busy Saturday evenings/nights, but afternoons work just dandy for me!

Also, unrelated to NaNo, but related to CC: the Westminster zombie walk is this Saturday! ^_^

*laughs* Sounds like you're going to be having fun. Where should we meet up? We need to decide where to meet up for write-ins too, unless we want to wait a little longer to see if anyone else is interested.

Oh, fun will be had! The zombie walk was pretty boss.

I'd be down with Panera, or Dennys. I believe we established last year that Dennys is the place to go if you don't want a wi-fi distraction, haha.

Sorry guys, I was just wondering if any of you happen to go to Liberty High and have Mr. Simon Drew for English. :]

Nope, but I have lots of friends who went to Liberty! I lived in that school district for a while, but I was in college at that point.

Sorry Quirky! Sad little private school girl here.

Denny's was good for no wifi and cheese fries. *laughs* Denny's also has breakfast food, though Sunday morning I doubt they'd appreciate us settling in for writing.

Hi! I just signed up tonight and I'm from Hampstead. This is my first year doing NaNo, though I've wanted to for the last couple of years though. I just haven't had the time and I'm making time for it this year.

Yeahhhh....We did have a good night at Denny's, though. =)
My laptop cord is in! I HAVE POWER! HOORAY!
Aaaand, I will not be super retarded hung over on the first anymore. My boyfriend took off work for my birthday, which means that he has to work Halloween, which means that I won't be doing anything silly crazy drunk-like. So I should be good for Sunday morning, even if I'm just drinking water. =D

Welcome new folk! =)

Good that he got off for your b-day. Too bad he couldn't have both.

Woohoo laptop cord! Makes life much easier. It's lookin like there's only going to be a few of us this year, so should we bother bringing a power cord? I can't remember how many outlets were in reach.

Hi Carroll County! I'll be at school in Virginia for most of the month, but I'll be home to Carroll County around Thanksgiving time to visit my folks, and may possibly drop in for a write-in then, if my schedule works out, and temporary visitors are welcome (:

I am a Carroll County native and would love to get invovled with any forums that we may have. I am trying to dare my husband to get invovled, so maybe he will come with me! I am near Westmister as well.

Heather, last year I think we could get to four easily...perhaps we should bring one just in case?
Have we decided on a definite time/location?

If you've got time to join us, we'd love to have you, krb2g. Hope you can get him involved, novelduck. Always fun to make others suffer with you. bwahaha

I don't think we decided anything definite. Me and my friend Kelly went to this new-ish place called The Westminster Station in the same shopping center as Papa John's. It seemed pretty cozy and there was food and coffee, and it's open til midnight on weekdays. Throwing out another suggestion, like we don't have enough. *laughs* As for times, though, it's looking like Tuesdays, Fridays, and Saturdays would be good afternoon/evenings. (I don't wanna give up my Monday TV :-P House, Lie to Me, and Castle are too amazing.) So if we want to meet twice a week, we could do Tuesdays and either Friday or Saturday to give us a free evening to spend with neglected friends.

I love Westminster Station as a hang out, but I know that I wouldn't be able to get ANYTHING done in terms of writing there. I know everyone and there are just SO MANY shiny things to play with. ^_^

so we have left:
denny's-food, drinks, no internet
coffee shop in the mall-food, drinks, presumably internet, mall-ish distractions
library-internet, quiet, vending machine food and drinks

anywhere i forgot?

i'd be down for a tuesday/friday/saturday thing. I'm back in single land, so Friday nights are free. But Tuesdays and afternoon/evenings on f/s work for me, generally speaking.

Evening all,

I live in Hampstead. Unfortunately, I work afternoons/ evenings, 13:30 to 01:30 Tues thru Fri, so I won't be able to make any write-ins during the week, but I might be able to swing by on a weekend depending on where its held.

This will be my second Nano, but I've been away from it for a couple years.

Good luck to you all!
