I like cheese as well. Especially chevre, which I will occasionally eat straight from the package with a spoon.

I like cheese, too! Alas, cheese doesn't like me. It makes me all sad, but not nearly as sad as the fact that ice cream doesn't like me, either.

Currently, my favorite thing is colbyjack string cheese. I eat it several times a day if at all possible. I also like parmesan cheese Goldfish. And parmesan cheese by itself. And large chunks of cheddar. And mammoth cheddar. And mozarella. And jack cheese. And swiss. And provolone. And goat cheese. Feta is okay.
I love cheese straws too.

I like Laughing Cow cheese. Maybe not the flavors as much (tho' they are OK) as the cute little round box and the sweet little 35-calorie portions in their shiny sliver paper with the pretty pictures on them. It looks so refreshing filling the little curves on crispy green celery.

Why, thank you Will! I was not even getting warmed up. Since I have NO IDEA what I will be writing about next month, perhaps I will take the smoothest path, and write a novel completely about CHEESE!

I kind of refuse to read it.
I do not, however, refuse to eat cheese. Cheese and I have a very deep relationship. (LazyM, I would totally read a novel about cheese. 50,000 words about cheese is time well-spent, I say.)

I have been thinking for a couple of days now that I really must tell y'all how much I love fresh pineapple and cottage cheese, right out of the refrigerator. The bracing coolness of the blend, the tart citrus of the pineapple just slightly curdling the tender chewy lumps of milk. The festive yellow against bright white. The slight stringiness in the pineapple's texture; the lumpiness of the cheese - the way it sticks in those indentations in my back teeth.
Sometimes, I like to sneak a maraschino cherry (with a perky stem of course) on top. I have to sneak it because my husband does not allow them in the house. He has an unaccountable aversion to cherries. Something terrrible and cherry-related must have happened to him as a child. I am not a fan of the green maraschino cherries. I don't know how they do it, but they not as sweet as the red ones; they are firmer-textured, and the peel feels slightly petrified against my teeth. I don't care if you say they are the same cherries, only green. I would say you are mis-guided. I love the way red dye #3 stains the curds a light pink, and the cherry's slight rubbery chewiness is a perfect foil for the splintering pineapple and the gooey, yet somehow slick texture of the cheese.
I have no opinion about Twilight.

I like cottage cheese. And I like pineapple. But not together.
There is a point in the movie Twilight (probably in the book too, but I'm not sure) where Edward talks about how he can hear people's thoughts, but not Bella's. I thought the obvious reason for that is because she doesn't have any.

I enjoy cottage cheese also. But what I really, really, really enjoy, and what is coming into season right now (no, it's not a fruit, but it is seasonal) is pumpkin pie. Particularly my mother's pumpkin pie, made with her top-secret homemade crust. Unfortunately, she's several states away and I won't get to see her for the holidays, so I don't think I'm getting a slice of her pumpkin pie this year. It's kind of a bummer.
I think pineapple is gross. If I taste pineapple, my face contorts into uncomfortable and unattractive shapes.

Only if beer is included in the food category. Had a brew this weekend that practically needed to be spooned out and chewed, it was such a heavy brew. Delightful, complex, but tres heavy.
I did not mean to turn this into a Twilight hate thread, I was just being glib. I've not even read it, just saw the first movie. I don't get the phenomenon, but then I'm far too old and (I suspect) male to be part of the target market.
The suspicion is that the target market is female, BTW. I have no suspicions about my gender, I'm well aware of that ;-).

Glad you cleared that up. Because I would have asked.
And I think the target market is not only female, but a certain kind of female. And I'll leave it at that before they all come after me and beat me with copies of "New Moon"...

So, yesterday at work (I'm a mail carrier), I slipped and took a tumble down 8 concrete steps from someone's porch. As a result, I am now in a wrist splint, drugged up, and off work for two days. The wrist splint makes typing awkward, but obviously not impossible, since I'm typing this now. My first thought when the doc told me to take a couple days off? "Too bad this didn't happen during NaNo so that I could have two free writing days."

While not normally a fan of pain Burger, your idea has merit... What kind of workplace accident can I come up with that won't involve permanent damage?
Nah, prolly best to just miss out on some sleep I guess.
BTW: I LOVE cheese also, and I did read all of the Twilight books because my wife made me. Although I found them monotonous, transparent, and at a couple of points I physically threw the book across the room, I found some portions of the story to be interesting.
Condense all of the good stuff out of the stuff you have to wade through to find it, and you would end up with a thick pamphlet.
So, I suppose I am not a Twilight hater, more of a Twilight Ambivelest. (It is close enough to November to begin making up words.)

I enjoy most cheese. Chewbecca enjoys bacon as well as cheese. Once, we were at the pub, and she ordered bacon. Just bacon. At the pub. She also enjoys green beans and tacos. I miss Chewbecca.
The summaries and clips I have seen from the various Twilight media encourage being stalked by guys who claim to love you but actually want to suck your blood. In the interest of being PG at this time, I will merely call copulating bovine excrement on the lot of them. Also, the author does not like the gay, so I suspect that she may place her various media on the far side of the moon.

Yes, but that was BEFORE I went vegetarian. I DO NOT EAT THE MEATS ANYMORE. :D Must go try some of that vegetable protein bacon OM NOM NOM!!!! And I miss you too. I MISS YOU ALL. SO MUCH.
I have an opinion on Twilight but it's far more entertaining to let you all guess at what it is. SO I'M JUST NOT GONNA TELL YOU. BAHAHAHAHAHA.
In other news, HEY FLICKGUY, I TOTALLY saw you walking down South Congress the other night, rocking out while you waited at a stoplight. I made my best friend roll down her window and I screamed your name at you, but you DID NOT HEAR ME. I was sad. BUT I SAW YOU. I DID.
OKAY BYE AUSTIN, I HAVE TO GO HOP ON A PLANE TO....um, AUSTIN, actually. I will be there for the Austin Teen Lit Festival at Westlake High School on Saturday, so you should COME TO THAT and HANG OUT WITH ME. :D

I like cottage cheese, but not as much as my dad, apparently. He eats it with a lot of... odd things; pineapple, baked beans, jello. I prefer it plain, as I do a lot of food. The only time I eat ketchup is on meatloaf.
Feta, Parmesan (not out of the green can), manchego, bring it on! But not too much because too much cheese in one day does not make my tummy happy.
I forgot who mentioned it, but I have a phenomenal recipe for pumpkin muffins. They're easy to make, freeze beautifully, and they would be a great noveling snack. I think pumpkin is a good source of fiber.

My diet today has consisted pretty much entirely of refined flour and cheese. Mac and cheese for breakfast (the boxed kind; I make a great from-scratch one but didn't want breakfast to take 2 hours), and then baguette with melted cheese for dinner. Now I am enjoying a beer. Which doesn't have cheese, but you know . . . .
In other news, I have a novelette being distributed on Lulu.com. I actually got the idea for this while doing NaNo last year, and have worked on it for the better part of 2009. *very excited*
