Hey folks! PhoebeAnn Theas here again this year ready to get you pumped up for the insanity that is November all over again! There will be more info here soon, but I just wanted to get the ball rolling ASAP in the NNWM forums. Like last year, we'll be doing write-ins and word wars and meetings throughout the month, so stay tuned! For now, join one of the NaNo groups in world to get the latest info when it comes out. You can find me in either NaNoWriMo SL or SL Wrimos. Hope to see you guys soon! November is almost here!

Hi PA!
Not sure if I'll be in SL much this November or not. (The experience has been way too laggy for me when I've tried logging in in recent months.) But I will try to at least pop in and see what the gang is up to.
Will we be hanging at SLiterary again?
If you're missing any perms that you need to manage the SL Wrimos group, please let me know and I'll log in (at some hopefully quiet time) and make sure you're set up properly.

I *think* I'm good for now. I will let you know if I'm missing something.
I've sort of spoken with Ina Centaur and she will be putting up a parcel for us again this year, but as yet I have no idea if it will be in the same spot as last year.
Last year we had all kinds of crazy stuff out, so I'm hoping this year will be more of the same!

I've only been in SL spordaically since the beginning of Script Frenzy (sorry for any of you who participated in that with me in SL. Life kinda got in the way!), but I should be able to find my way in-world for a few write-ins in November!

Glad to see an SL thread! I've been doing Nano far longer than I've been in SL, but I'd love to attend a few events in SL. My novel this year is about characters in a virtual world like Second Life, so this should be a fun year. I think I'm in the wrimo group but I'll have to check my groups. In world, I'm brunhilda Inglewood, glad to meet you all!

Feel free to say Hi.
This is my second year in NaNo so it might be fun to meet other writers
Hint for people who spend a lot if time in Second Life. Let your friends in there KNOW you are doing NaNo!
That way they don't wonder why you dropped off the grid for a month :)

Wow, there's a lot of new faces here! Well, either that or I came at the wrong times to meet all of you - I WAS a night owl (still am :P), so really came to be close with the night time crowd ;)
Anyhoo, Sirahal Rees here, looking forward to seeing you all in November! Think I may have dragged a couple of SLers into NaNo too, so fingers crossed they'll be there with me ;)

Hello everyone!
I've been in SL for almost 2 years now and had no clue some of the Nano writers were hiding here. *pokes* Sooo where are you guys? I will most likely be on SL often even during November because of my obligations there as well. November is coming and it's due to my SL experiences that brings me to NANO this year to write a story. See you soon! Oh, by the way please let me know if there is any hot spots or places to meet up for Nano in world. Cheers! - Angelis

Hey everyone,
I am doing my first Nano and found out about it through great writing groups in SL. I am so excited to be participating with the Nano group in SL and am sure it will be a big motivator. I especially need help from SL writers as I am going to be traveling cross country by truck during the first week of November. My writing time will be in the evenings in a hotel in RL and a writing venue in SL!! I have joined the group in SL.

Yay! Lots of great new folks and some returning ones as well! I sent out a notecard in both SL Wrimos and NaNoWriMo SL groups today that had a bunch of info on it for stuff going on in November. This year, Candy Kramer and Amaranth Sorbet will be lending me a hand in organizing meetings and such as my time is somewhat limited this year (the audiobook podcast, college, kids, feeling generally ill due to current pregnancy blah, etc). If you just joined the group(s) and didn't get the NC, just go into the notices tab in the group info and snag it there.
Ina Centaur is putting us up in the SLiterary Cafe on the SLiterary sim, right next to the NaNoWriMo Shrine. If that place turns out to be too laggy for meetings, there's other places to park ourselves, such as the INKsters rose garden over on Cookie, the Milkwood sim (beautiful FYI, check it out), and others I'm forgetting. I put a bunch of LMs in the NC I sent out so make sure you check it!
I'll be holding meetings at 1 30 pm SLT on Tuesdays and Thursdays at the SLiterary Cafe, for those who can make that time slot. This is usually the EU wrimos. I've already discussed an evening meeting with Amaranth, and it will probably be around 6 30 pm SLT-ish on a day TBD yet. That ball is in her court as there's no guarantee I can make that time (night classes t-w-th so I'm out those days). Of course, you are always welcome to group holler to see who's around for a word war or one of those "what do you call it when..." moments or if you're like me the "Quick! I need a name for a..." times. The beauty of SL is that no matter what time you're on, there's probably another wrimo out there working just as diligently (or not lol) as you so it's easy to get a writing buddy.
If you aren't a part of the INKsters group and you're big into writing, I highly recommend joining up with them as they have all kinds of great writing prompts and literary events going on all the time. If anyone wants to see if they can still put up a booth at the Autumn Writers Exhibit, please do. I wanted to, I just haven't had the time.
Anyway, I think I've yakked at you enough. Time for me to head to bed.

Oh yes, I'm sure there will be Wrimo Wikings present. I should figure out where I got my pack o viking helmets so I can share the link with everyone. I recall them being cheap too, so that's a bonus. LOL
I'm with you on getting the work done surrounded by avs. I think it's like having real people there pushing you, but without the distraction of them actually being there. That, and I always get my best work done in my pajamas. Doesn't everyone? LOL

Hey everyone! I'm back again, and excited, as demonstrated by coming here before November even hits!
One thing I've recently discovered is Plurk, where a lot of SLers have created accounts and can communicate even outside of logging in. Its kind of like a visual Twitter. My grand idea is to somehow use it with the SL NaNos, so if you're curious and create an account, come find and add me as a friend - http://www.plurk.com/samakaza
Excited to get started, and hopelessly behind on any sort of prep work as usual. I think I write better when its fresh, and I have practically nothing!
