Well, I can tell you there's a knot of NaNoWriMo folks in Gainesville and another in Johns Creek.

If by a knot you mean "she who is not a ninja", then yes >_> I have heard there is a desire for a write-in at the Mall of Georgia which I am totally up for, I just need to see the existing write-in schedule so I know what times are available. And suggestions for a place.

It's on the North Georgia calendar: http://www.nanowrimo.org/eng/node/3280524
I could add their events, but it looks like most will be centered around Ellijay, which is probably too far for most Atlantans (2hrs+).

Correct.

Flowery Branch here! I grew up in Buford and I can't believe how many people are there now.
I hope I can make it to one of the write ins. I'd have to dust off the laptop. :)

Anyone interested in a Sunday afternoon write in near Discover Mills? If so, do you know a good place? :) It's mid-way between my friend and I and we'd love to meet other NaNoers while we're at it.

I would be all over Discover Mills on a Sunday afternoon like an adjective on a noun :)
For the MoGers, I'm heading out in just a minute to get down there. Look for the short girl with the '04 shirt (so many words, so little time), the laptop adorned with Nano stickers, and the ugly tip jar :)

Books A Million is the only place near DM we could find, and my friend doesn't want to go there. So I think we're going to trek down to the Forum in Norcross on Sun. Have fun and good luck!

Yes. I come prepared with a power strip or two :)
There's not a starbucks at Discover mills or anything similar? Any eatery places with wifi that don't mind frantic authors crashing for a couple of hours?

There's currently five of us here. If you go in and tell them you're with Nano, they'll direct you out here. We're the only ones on the patio right now.

I'll be there. I know of at least 4 others going.
It should be out on the patio section (it's covered, no worries about getting cold.) Look for...the only people with laptops -D
