I'm out in Tewksbury and while I tend to work better alone (especially since I lack a laptop at the moment), I'm looking to see who else in the Lowell area is planning to NaNo this year.

I will be! I plan on doing some informal get-togethers, perhaps on weeknights. Brew'd Awakening has been hospitable in the past. Andy and the crew are cool and love when people come and hang out for a while. Good food and drink too!

No idea if Ayer is closer to Lowell or Fitchburg, but I intend on doing NaNoWriMo a second time. :) It's a 30-day birthday present to myself. :-D
----------- Peace.

Hello! This is my first time doing this, having been talked into it by a friend. I'm in Dracut. And also, laptop-less - so I'll likely be holing away in my study here, for the most part. I just finished a first draft of a book, which I hope to complete by the end of the year. Don't know why I've decided to do this on top of that (!) but I love the idea of writing this many words all at once without making any edits.

Hey there!
I'm from the area and this is my first time. I may occasionally try to pop in to downtown to sit and "people watch" a little (heard its good to get the creative juices flowing). Will more likely end up in various Barnes and Nobles scattered around. :)
I've never been this anxious for the month of November to start! Ahh... nausea. ;)

Geez - two days away and I'm wavering on my story idea. Was going "pirate", but don't think I'm feeling it at ALL.
I had a SciFi story idea that I never got rolling on. :-\ Maybe? I'm getting so freakin' antsy!!! :)

I also live in Tewksbury near(-ish) to Lowell. This is my first time attempting to write 50,000 words in a month, so I don't know what works for me yet, but I do know of a couple cafés in the downtown Lowell and UMass areas where I'm planning on doing some of that writing. Wow, that's quite the run-on, but in the spirit of NaNoWriMo I'll leave it as is.
Happy writing!

I tend to frequent the Barnes & Noble on Merrimack Street myself, and if anyone with better organizing skills than me is up for it, I'd be delighted to get together at Brew'd Awakenings: will be there with the wire-bound journal I've been drafting parts of my NaNo novel while I ride the bus and any other time I'm away from the desktop comp and I have time to fill.
