I rather liked Scranton Library in Madison. Not just because it's close to my house, haha--
There were a good number of electrical outlets though and we had the community room to ourselves. And we were able to eat dinner in there.
The diner in Milford wasn't bad either, though I recall several of the group saying the other side had more electrical outlets. Of course, I don't remember who suggested it (it may have been you, Lizzie) but I bought an Alphasmart NEO (anyone who wants amazing battery life should invest in one...I've used mine a whole year, frequently, and the batteries are still full power) so electrical outlets aren't really a concern for me but I know lots of people will bring laptops and those batteries only last so long.
I know several folks like wifi access...we might try Barnes & Noble this year? Milford/Orange area or North Haven...

I thought the Middlefield library was nice too. They gave us that big empty room and let us bring our snacks.

Can't be any worse than trying to write with three kids who are very needy and whiny and a husband who has band practice in basement.

It's very exciting. Lots of withcraft. You know: chips, dips, chains, whips, a little candle wax on the nipples.
Actually, the write-ins are awesome. We get together in various locations and eat some food, commiserate, spitball ideas if someone needs it, and occasionally write something. I find the meetings very conducive to making my word count.

I'd love to have another write-in at Kimberly Diner in Milford, because that'll probably be the only place I can get a ride to. Also for the amazing curly fries. Mhhm.

I enjoyed Greenwich Coffee in Cheshire. Except for the crazy Bible-study people at the next table last year--they scared me.
I see you've already got me at Los Mariachis in Wallingford on Nov 18. GREAT fresh Tex-mex food in an old KFC building. Yummy. Only downside for NaNo is no wifi.
The Kimberly Diner is good too as long as we can get the proper side with the outlets and the working wifi.
Panera Bread in Hamden and Meriden and Milford, also cool. Good hot cocoa.
As an unemployed bum, I can pretty much do anywhere, anytime, except Sunday at supper time.

I vote for the Madison Library again; and I also plan on doing some writing at Savvy Tea in Madison on weekdays after work. I also vote for Sweet Bears Dessert Cafe in Branford (www.sweetbearsdessertcafe.com) since it has comfy chairs, wifi, and, of course, dessert! It's usually pretty quiet, too.

I'm new to this area, so have no idea where really any place but Meriden is. If there's anything close to Middletown (I'm a freshman at Wesleyan) that also matches up with my class schedule, I'll be there.
