Since they're already reserved and scheduled (where needed), and one of the ladies of Write Club pointed out that more notice is better notice, here's the write-in schedule for November in Anchorage. There are four scheduled a week, so that (hopefully) there will be somewhere for everyone to meet at least once a week. And in proper writerly fashion, everyone is welcome to come and go as they please, free from oppressive glaring for such brief interruptions.
A) Mondays (2, 9, 16, 23, 30) : 3PM to 8PM in the Children's section of the Loussac Library
3600 Denali St, Anchorage, AK 99503. The Write Club group also meets on this day at 5-ish in the children's section of the library. So perhaps we shall join forces at about that time! [waves to the very fun Write Club]
B) Tuesdays (3, 10, 17, 24) : 5PM-9PM at the Elim Cafe Conference Room
561 W. Dimond (between Arctic & C Street, in the strip mall with Gallo's across from Village Inn) (267-4288) They serve both coffee and tea, hot and cold, as well as regular cafe snacks and some meals. I'll have the brochure with me at the September & October meetings for anyone who wants to see, but I recommend visiting yourself. It's very nice.
C) Thursdays (5, 12, 19) and Wednesday the 25th: 7PM - late/late at the Denali Denny's
2900 Denali St, Anchorage, AK 99503-4025 | (907) 276-0536
D) Saturdays (7, 14, 21, 28) : 10AM – 3PM at Side Street Espresso
412 G St, Anchorage, AK 99501-2127 | (907) 258-9055
I'll likely bump this topic with reminders or random, "Hey, Sunday, too?" notes during November...

For those of us semi-not people people, we recognise others by.......laptops everywhere? I knwo that if I can't tell who is there to write, I'll probably end up just sitting in a corner all by my lonesome or is it kinda just a come and write, not really as a group just as a way to have a place and time....?

At both the Elim Cafe and Denali Denny's we have reserved a separate room for the writing.
At Denny's it's that windowed back room almost straight back from the entrance (the blinds will be drawn, but there will be a poster or a sign to announce us), or the front 'coffee' area, directly to the right when you walk in.
At Elim Cafe it's the conference room, which has no windows and is through a little door beside their wall-o-computers, which is all across from the counter.
At the other locations, we will have the "Novelist at Work" triangles (see here, at the bottom) attached to our tables and/or laptops. I should be at most of them myself, and will be easy to pick out as I'll have that neon-yellow blazon of ML shirt either on my back or displayed nearby.
But yes, if you see a wall of computers (sometimes there are even typewriters) with people bent over them that have headphones on while looking serious (or grinning madly), that will be your fellow NaNo-ists!

Just curious - I happened to be in the Loussac Library this afternoon so decided to stop in the Cafe and was writing there from 2:30 to 4. Did anyone else ever show up? Maybe I was just too early.

Ah, sorry. The location was changed slightly. We are meeting in the Children's section near the windows. I changed the information in all of the other places, but forgot to fix this post. I will do so now. All the rest are the same. I hope you'll be able to make it to another.

Is the time the same then? I actually was in the children's section at around 4 but didn't go as far in as the windows so maybe there were some people there and I just missed them. Thanks!

The time is technically three to eight, so people may show up anytime around then. I was supposed to go yesterday, but didn't make it, and I know others just came late. Try to coordinate it with someone so you don't look all out of place in the back of the children's section, typing away. :P

For those of you awake early on a Saturday - sneak out and join the write-in at the Side Street Espresso. It's downtown at 412 G St, from 10AM to 3PM.
