Hello Amethyst,

yes there are NaNoWriMo people in St.Petersburg :) at least me (even though I'm not a real NaNoWriMo participant so far, rather a not-so-secret sympathizer), and I know for sure there is at the very least one other person, even though I forgot what her username here is. Quite possibly there's more.

If there's something you might need help with, feel free to drop a line. And thankfully, there's quite a number of places with good coffee in St.Petersburg :)

I hope you don't mind me writing in English - I just enjoy the language (I even keep considering NaNoWriMoing in it); if you'd prefer more practice in written Russian, I can switch to it, it's native for me, after all.

And it takes me forever to type in Russian, so.
Are you at all interested in meeting up somewhere for a write-in at some point this month?

I guess we could meet up, maybe during a weekend? We could invade a coffee shop ^_^ I like the idea. I'm usually busy till 8 during the week with my classes, so I only have the weekend free.

Looks like I'll be free this coming Saturday after 2 pm. There's a good cafe with lots of outlets (in case you want to work on a laptop) at Five Corners, near Vladimirskaya Metro. I forget the name, but it's at 20 Загородный Просп. (Google Map here)

How's that sound?

asea, do you mean "Зерно истины"? That sounds good, actually. So, 2 pm or would you need more time getting there? I'm free all Saturday.

I suggest whoever comes first tapes a piece of paper saying "NaNoWriMo'09" in big letters somewhere. A good place would be the back of your laptop, maybe, if you use one?

I should be there around 2. I honestly don't know if that's the name, but it's the cafe on that corner. Not a chain, as far as I know. (ie not Coffee House or Shokoladnitsa). A sign is a great idea. :-)

See you Saturday!
