I'd be up for that. I'll have the 2nd and 3rd Friday off (furlough).

Where were you thinking?

You did that just so I'd have to retype it in the index thread, didn't you? ;) Well, your plan is thwarted, for I have a paste button and know how to use it. ;)

As for write-ins on Fridays, I could go for that. Maybe noonish, so I can get down to help GIS partner in the lab around 3?

I don't have furloughs (don't get paid at all other than room and board, don't get days off, either), but am in Orangevale.

So evenings work if I can pin my husband down to stay with the kids. During the day might even work as he often works at home.

I'm up for Orangevale / Citrus Heights / Fair Oaks anywhere but not on Fridays as that's the Folsom write-in day. I am not well-versed in roomy and available coffee shop type venues.

Definitely something in this area. That would make me very happy. =) Noon-ish on Friday sounds good.

Since no one has mentioned any actual places let me throw a couple out there.

Boulevard Coffee - it's moderately small inside but they have the best coffee in the area.

Madison Station Cafe - tons of room in a semi-private space in the back + Frozen Yogurt!

Ooh, count me in, count me in! I'm in Rancho, but this meet-up's the closest one to me. My schedule changes every week, so I might not make it every week, but I'll certainly try! Noon sounds good to me, too. Just gimme a street address and I'll do my best to make it. ^_^

Count me in, too.

My schedule is very flexible, so I can go with whatever time and place works for other folks.

OTOH, maybe I'llstart the ball rolling. Would any weekday afternoon at Boulevartd on fair oaks Ave work for anyone else?

That sounds good to me. (And looks really easy to get to!) Uhm ... Monday or Wednesday afternoons would work best.

I agree with Boulevard on Fair Oaks (I just live down the street) on those Fridays that I can make it.

I have a fairly flexible schedule. I'd really prefer a coffee shop, but name the time and place and I'll be there! :D

I am down for anything at Boulevard, considering it's where I've been doing all my pre-writing and note-taking I will feel perfectly at home.

Did I mention they have the best coffee in Sacramento? =)

So Boulevard seems to be the preferred location, and Fridays seem to be the preferred day. So Fridays at Boulevard?

I'm right on the others side of I-80 from Citrus Heights and so far your the first group that has mentioned daytime, noon hours and I'd like to try a few. Where is Boulevard's on Fair Oaks? And I figure I will know who you all are by your computers.

Thank you Peeps.
I did a Yahoo search and this is the same answer I got. Great.
12-ish sounds good any day or were we talking Tues - Wed and Fri. I don't remember...LOL
Next question...Do they have plugs for the laptops? My old LP gives me a good hour and a half when it is happy; then the battery needs food.

I think I'm pretty solidly working 1-10pm on Fridays, now, but I can show up early for the early birds! ^_^ If we can work out something for Monday, Wednesday, or Thursday, that'd be awesome, too, because I don't work those days due to school. So . . . to make it easy, same Bat time, same Bat channel, but on Mondays, Wednesdays, or Thursdays. Any other takers?

Monday or Wednesday are good for me. Thursday would have to be in the morning.

I'm going to be at Boulevard on Monday, if anyone is interested in a write-in. I'll be get there in the morning. I can be there in the afternoon if that's when people want to come.

Edit: Sorry, I lied. This Monday I can only be there in the afternoon. But I will be there! So, I hope to see some of you.

Hi, I just moved to Fair Oaks and was thinking about going to Boulevard on Monday. I just need to know what time other people will be there so that I know when to catch the bus.

Beardabeth: I will be there probably about 12. (I'm pretty sure I'm babysitting in the morning, and not positive on my schedule; I'll post again in the morning.) But I will most likely be there from 12 until whenever.

K'plah!*

Boulevard has several plugins. You have to look up around the perimeter to see them. You'll need at least 5 ft of cord to use them.

I probably will not be at the write-in on friday. I just found out that my aunt and grandma are coming to visit and I can't go anywhere until they leave.

I will be at Boulevard Coffee Friday around noon since I will off.

Just wanted to see if anyone else will be going there.
