As all of you lovely Wrimotaurs may or may not know, there is usually a treasure box of small prizes that accompanies the MLs to official meets to be given out to those who win word wars. Although we will be continuing that this year, we are also talking to merchants and individuals to donate prizes for those who cross the finish line.

And that, oh wonderful, generous and oh-so-creative fellow participants, is where you come in. If you work for a company you would be willing to ask for a donation of merchandise or tickets, that would be fantastic. Whether you work for a movie theatre or a basket weaver, if you are comfortable asking, we would appreciate the donation. If you, yourself, are fabulously, artistically gifted and want to donate something you can create, so much the better.

Please keep in mind that this is a strictly voluntary proposition. I just thought it would make sense to ask everyone if they might be able to contribute, or convince someone else to do so, while I was completing my list of merchants to talk to in the next few weeks. If you think you might be able to help with a donation, please reply here or drop me a NaNo mail. Huushi and I want to make this the best, most awesome NaNo ever, so we are super excited about this new way to keep everyone motivated. As I get answers from merchants, watch for updates on what will be available for prizes.

Only two weeks til we start (give or take a day). *flails happily*

hey guys-I think I may fall under the artistically gifted category. Would you like me to do up some artwork?

Caitir, :)

That would be grand. If you could drop me a NaNo mail or reply here with the details of what type of art you had in mind, and what theme or content, that would be even more loverly. :)

Thanks.

Hello Xanateria!

I was talking to your co-ML, and I think the consensus was fantasy genre of some sort. I am up to my eyeballs in course work right now, I don't know what exactly I will draw, although my latest obsession is mermaids...

I can give more details when this round of assignments are done though!

I make some soap and body products, and I'm going to be moving soon so I have a bunch of stuff that I don't really want to pack with me all the way to Oregon... not much for the guys really, but I can give a bunch of sugar scrub and scented soaps for all the wrimotaur ladies XD

Shahmeran,

That sounds like it would make a great prize for some lucky Wrimo of the female persuasion. Drop me a NaNo mail when you get a chance and we can figure out how best to get your donation to myself or my lovely co-ML. And thanks so much in advance for being willing. You made my night.

Cheers,

Xanateria

I don't have anything vanilla made up at the moment... the soaps I have are lavender and carnation/clove (and unscented hehe)... and the sugar scrub is um... sugar scented :D

Would the prizes be based off of a draw that winners can apply for? If so, I work at a print shop and I can offer a professionally printed and Cerlox bound copy of your manuscript, complete with a full color cardstock cover if you wish. Granted you could do this at home if you wished, or your local staples so I don't know if the interest is there... I know I'm running one for myself once this is all over :)
I'd really be able to only offer two or so mind you which is why I ask if it's a draw if people are in fact, interested.

Alternatively, I could score up some coupons for the print shop if people would rather use it to print custom posters and such... Figured I'd offer none the less :)
