Well, I'll have to throw my lot in with y'all. I lived in Vernon, moved north to the junction of the lakes, and I like it here. Still a hour outta Kamloops, but Salmon Arm is rather isolated (if anyone on can call a town on the TCH isolated).
Regardless, I'm here to give my insanity an outlet, before my kids start to wonder too much. And who knows, something might come of it, the voices in my head are starting to argue with each other, so it's about time to do something. Anyone else have this problem?

Yay! I'm in Kamloops! I was begining to think I was alone!
----------This will be my first real attempt...Last year I was moving halfway through. This year I (hopefully) won't have a week off school because of moving, so I'll have to actually manage my time....that's a daunting thought.
Anyway, are there going to be any write-ins or anything? I don't know if I'll be able to to go since I'm sixteen, but it's worth a shot right? ^_^

As much as I love write-ins, I have a full time job, a part time job, and three kids, so at the very best I could get online and communicate electronically with people who ARE having a write-in (it's just like being there! Sort of.)
What's everyone's genre this year? Mine is pretty much classified as sci-fi, but that's secondary to the main thrust of the storyline.
Also, cool to have a young'un in here, AND a bass player.

I would love to do a write in. I've never done this before. Any suggestions on time/places?
Aspiringbassist: great to see you. I know there are other teenagers doing this. There are clubs at Valleyview (my husband is an English teacher there and I convinced him to do a club) and Beattie/Pineridge (me and another mom there have organized an after school club there). I can encourage them to look this up if you are looking for others your age.

Hey. I wouldn't mind doing a Write-in with a bunch from town here. Let's get one in early this year!

I will be at the Downtown Library (everyone knows where that is I assume) at 130 pm on Monday, November 2 (that's next Monday). I will be upstairs in the library sitting at the tables (just go straight from the top of the stairs, over near the magazine stands). I will be there, so if anyone else would like to join me, come grab a seat! Don't forget to bring all your writing materials! And we can write until we all have to leave. (I think I would be done by 4). So, if aspiringbassist wants to join after school, find us at the library.

There will very few write-ins for me, sadly. I AM going to try and get some lunchtime writing in at the North Shore Cowboy Coffee (it's right by my office) at lunchtimes, but that's about it. I'll have the laptop with the Spongebob stickers on it.

i will be writing/ typing from home..as that is where I'd be most productive.
However if people want to meet downtown and chat once a week that would be great. There are 5 Mondays in the month of November. I suggest meeting and supporting each other at 'The Art We Are', a very creative place! I am available on Monday evenings and they are open late. So 7 pm each Monday evening come and sit and chat in a comfy environment. This might be a great time to keep us motivated through the week. Perhaps there is something we can discuss, share or mentor with each other.
The Art We Are is located at Suite 201, 322 Victoria St. above Spinners/Frou Frou Monkey. Come and check it out and support a local creative spot ! It is well lit and parking should be easy if..there is not a hockey game!
