Yup, we're back at it this year!

For those who are new, here's the deal... Last year we had a word count feud within Maine. There's two groups - Moose and Lobsters! All you have to do is join on of the group by posting in that list that you want in. At the end of the month I'll add up everybody's word counts (make sure you validate) and see who won!

Jensoda will be posting the Lobster Group thread soon! So if you want to be a Lobster, make sure you check in with her!

Make sure you only post once and in only one thread - that way we won't have any double counting. I'll try to make sure I don't, but it's easier if I can just add up numbers and not worry about double postings!

I'll be posting a thread for talking smack about those smell red crustaceans! Have to have a place to talk smack, but this isn't it!

So sign up for the group you want to belong to!

Ken

.... so when I was growing up, my many siblings and I would be playing kick ball in the yard, and the ball would fly over the hedges into the road. instead of running around either end of the bushes, like the rest of my sibs, i'd plow right through the bushes, as my grandfather, sitting in the shade of the catalpa tree, watching us play, would chuckle, shake his head, and say, "hey moose!" in my honor .... i'm in.

Choice between a bottom-dwelling crustacean that is delicious and a giagantic, freakin' awesome king of the forest--is that a question at all?

I'm a moose! Now let me go find some antlers...

I guess I'm on the moose team - we've spent all week at the meetings talking about Lenny the Moose being our mascot and giving chocolate Lenny Pops as prized to the members who win and who actually attended the meetings - so I guess with all the moose talk going on at the meetings, that puts me in the moose team.

I actually was not aware that there were two Maine teams - Moose and Lobsters. So what will the Lobsters be getting, red candy Lobster pops? Len Libby makes those too. hhhmmm - I think I like the candy lobster pops better than the chocolate moose pops. yummy!

I think I should e on the Moose side though, because I've got moose in my NaNo this year - Santa Clause gets a team of flying reindeer, my Jack Frost is going to have a team of White Moose instead. :) I can't really see him with a team of flying lobsters. ;)

Okay, I'll be moose. I was going to go the other way, considering that I like the taste of lobster and not moose. But then I figured, hey, why join a group when I'd be tempted to eat all the other participants? So I'll be moose. And I'll devour my opponents instead!
