I'm seeing everywhere else, and I'm surprised I haven't seen Billings pop up yet :p

I've had the same problem because of school and work both making it obnoxiously difficult... I woulnd't be able to make a
Sunday or Monday group meetup, but maybe everyone else would consider it :3

Cause there must be an everyone else, right? >_>;

I've done this two other years - ( 06 - didn't finish; 07 - didn't try; and 08 -- I WON ) -- but it was rather a confusing mess of a story. I don't make the events since I live an hour's drive sort of north of Billings on back roads ... but I'm doing it again this year. I'm planning the plot in advance so hopefully this time the story line won't get quite so tangled.

First year as participant for me. Hope to see some events planned and good luck to all!

Plot? You plan your plots out?

My two misbegotten wins were the result of some early forms of planning and then early on giving my Id free reign and seeing what it wanted to put my poor characters through.

...now that you mention it...perhaps a little prior planning is called for :P

I have to have some kind of plot. Stuff gets thrown in, but I have to know where I'm going. The one time I tried random stuff I didn't get anywhere :B

I'm hoping something gets planned that I can show up to, cause I've done this for four years and have yet to go to one meetup.

Hey folks! I didn't make a very good showing last year, but I'm confident in my idea for this NaNo hand hope to finish. I won't be able to make any kickoff parties, but I will be back in town by mid-November. Yippie! I get to work around moving again! Driving is so inspirational! Too bad you can't type and drive at the same time. Do they still make dictaphones?

Hey, think I'm closer to Billings than anywhere else. I'm officially near Crow Agency, but I'll be in Colorado for most of November. If anything gets planned during any time in which I happen to be in Crow, I'll try to drop in. Lol. Typical Montana problem, eh?

I won't be able to make any kick-off events, but I will be unemployed for a while up there so my schedule should be wide open. Any idea if we will be having write-ins like last year?

Usually Kay organizes the write-ins, if I remember right, but I haven't seen her yet. I can't make any kick-off party, or else I'd try to help organize one... I'm hoping that there'll be some meets, cause I'd love to finally show up to one :3

same here. last year I worked crazy hours for St. Vincent Healthcare and couldn't make a single one. then they scheduled one that I could make and my hours changed! Talk about murphy's law.

Has anyone seen Kay? If not, does anyone feel like helping to organize a kick-off/get together? I can make reservations from here, but that's about it. Long distance coordination might work. What are folks schedules?

Her page says she hasn't made any posts yet...
I would love to help organize, but I can't even make it to a kick-off party. I'm available Tuesdays and Thursdays, but I know not everyone is available for those days. Metcalfed mentioned being available only on Sunday and Monday... I haven't seen anyone else mention their availabilities.

If we could figure out a good day(s) for most people I would love to try and help out with a meet-up - it's about time I finally show up to one.

Alright . . . here's a thought. How about 7-9 pm on Sundays, Tuesdays and Thursdays at Borders on King Ave or City Brew (any location) or Off the Leaf? Other location ideas anyone? We could do the lounge/lobby at one of the new hotels or even Holiday Inn lounge? Up for grabs here. Let's get somethin' goin! : )

I'm here too - don't normally go to the meet-ups, but evenings (starting later 7 or even 8) are definitely better for me too. I could probably make the Sunday evening times...

In any case, looking forward to getting started! I made a poor showing last year, but am prepared for a glorious come-back this year! :-)

Hey, I'm in Cody, but I'm willing to come to Billings to be a part of some of the write-ins. Please post when you have officially planned stuff - I'll be there!!

Also - any chance we could do a few on Saturday afternoon or evenings?

Saturday, Sundays, Tuesdays and/or Thursdays will work for me too. I haven't been to Off the Leaf yet and haven't heard much about it, otherwise my vote is for Borders on location. So are we talking about this Saturday 10/31 for a kick-off? or just go to first meeting on Tuesday? Or tomorrow night?

I won't be able to make tonight, I work til ten, but I'm all for a Tuesday meet, if anyone will show up ._. so many different schedules, I wish I had a normal weekend off...

I haven't been to off the leaf either, I think I'd prefer Borders simply for the fact that I know it >_<;

Next Saturday (the 7th) would work for me, as long as it's in the evening. Most Saturday nights are good for me, actually. Tonight won't work, of course - it's Halloween, and hubby and I have a graveyard to haunt! :-) I will be writing tonight at the stroke of midnight though...anyone joining me? I'll be on twitter then, hangin' with the rest of the NaNo crowd there. I'm @VarietyPages, if anyone wants to look me up.

I've never been to Off The Leaf either, but have heard it's nice. I don't drink coffee, so I'm pretty happy with wherever you guys choose, as long as I can get tea or pop there (or bring my own). :-)

Let's try for 7-9 pm at Borders on King on Sunday, Tuesday and Saturday. Sound like a plan?

Saturday, Sunday and Tuesday 7-9 at Borders. Okay. I should be seeing you all on the 14th then, but I'll be with you all in spirit 'til then.

Sounds great! I'll try to make it tomorrow (depends on how long undecorating takes), but next Saturday for sure. I'll wear a NaNo shirt, to be easily recognized. :-)

Wahoo! I will be there tomorrow...though I probably won't be able to come again until the following Sunday (I'll be in California for a convention in between). Write on! I'll be watching for people dressed in NaNo shirts and pink hats!
