A ride would be freakin' awesome. I don't drive, but I'd be happy to pitch in for gas, buy your coffee, whatever.
I live near the state fairgrounds, and I'll probably want to jump on the tour at the first stop, or a couple stops in - I'm flexible. Best way to contact me is by email - narcissistic_etrend@yahoo.com.

1) I live in the St Paul Midway area, on Charles Ave.
2) 763 498 1433
3) I'd like to do the whole thing, but here's the deal...I like to ride my bike. If the weather permits, I'd like to ride bike from each location to the next and would be much obliged to anyone willing to carry my laptop from location to location. I am a beast on a bicycle and have no worries that I will be able to complete each stage of the ride, but I would be concerned about spending all my time riding and none writing...so I guess I have to check out the most efficient route, to ensure that I will indeed be able to spend some time writin, before I confirm that this is what I plan on doing. Have no worries, I will be investigating the matter by the end of the week and will have solid plans laid out soon!

Wow! Everyone lives in the perfect place to make this easy for me. :D
Swing by to pick up laptop, then to Nina's area, then over to fairgrounds area, perfect. :D
I'll be calling, emailing everyone tomorrow evening, to give EyesofShade a little time to plan what he's doing.
I will grab my bike rack for just in case its needed. ;)
Looking forward to this! And yes, its no problem for me to run anyone home during the tour. I don't mind, as I usually don't have problems finishing my novel in time.

I'd *love* a ride to the write-in. ^_^ I'd rather not give my address on the forum, though. I could PM it or something. I live near the Global Market, Powderhorn Park, and Lake Street and Chicago in South Minneapolis--if that helps you any. I'm hoping to do the whole thing.

Okay, I've finally figured it out.
1) Kris W., =have Volunteer pick-up
2) Steve's for Laptop - Charles ave area. by 8:40-8:50?
3) Lindsay's - St. Fair area by 8:50-9:00?
4) Jasper's - Chicago ave. area. by 9:15-9:25?
This will assure us that with road construction and my propensity for hitting every red light, we will get to Hopkins by 10am. :D
This also gives us a little wiggle room.
Bike carrier is going with for just in case. My car will hold 1 more person if the bikers still bike.

Heyo. I'm Amanda, and I'm in need of a ride. I'll help pay for gas or coffee (as someone else has already suggested. Seems like a good idea) if you'd like. :)
1) Location: near UofM campus on University Ave. Near the new stadium.
2) Phone: I'll send it with my address in a pm
3) I don't think I want to join up at the beginning (I have strong doubts about my ability to be awake at that point), but I'd like to join up at the second stop. Would anyone be willing to swing by to pick me (and maybe one of my friends) up on their way to Uncommon Grounds? Of course, I may change my mind and decide to go to the first stop as well, but I'm not sure about that yet. :P

THE DECISION:
Beth (ladyb) will pick up:
1) Kris W., (my sister thinks that 9:10AM pickup should give you time to get to Hopkins by 10AM).
I will pick up
1) Lindsay at 8:30-8:40AM (still waiting for her to get back to me.)
2) Steve and John's laptops at 8:50AM
3) Regina (Jasper Illusion) 9:20AM
I'll go back and get Amanda (Aubrey Black) around 2pm after I drop everyone and the laptops off at Uncommon Grounds.
NOTE: I will call you while enroute to let you know that I'm on the way to get you or the laptops. :D

I'm planning to walk or bus to Uncommon Grounds, ride with people throughout the tour, and then bus home from the Megamall afterward. Someone posted something suggesting this would be feasible and not a great strain on the various drivers. :) As such, I probably don't need to arrange rides ahead of time. I hope it works out.

Rides were shared between locations like this last year, and it worked out fine. Excet when Serena was giving Emily a ride to Merlin's Rest and they got an egg thrown at their heads from a passing car--- very strange, but luckily washable.

I will need rides from place to place throughout the night, and I am hoping that nobody throws an egg at me again!

Ahhh! I know I'm late, but I figured I'd give it a shot and see if anyone would happen to be able to give me a ride on Saturday?
I don't get off work until three o'clock, so I would need to either be picked up around 3:30 (I could probably actually arrange to leave right after work, if need be.) and head to Blue Moon late or just join in at Denny's directly after Blue Moon (skipping Merlin's Rest).
I'm in Richfield, right near the high school at 7100 and Harriet.
----------I know this is SUPER late, but if there's anyone out there who could make this work, it would be much appreciated. You can either nanomail me or just reply to this. Sorry sorry sorry, and thank you!

Blue Moon starts at 6pm. I don't mind after dropping off people at Uncommon Grounds, heading over to pick you up in Richfield. I'd pick you up after I dropped off Amanda at Uncommon Grounds. Resting my tendons will a little longer isn't a problem.
3:30 at 7100 and Harriet (Sister is getting me directions now)
----------We'd get back to Uncommon Grounds by a little after 4pm.
That will give the extra tendon rest I need, as I plan on typing bullet speed later that evening. :D

I'm wondering about the likelihood about getting a ride home from one of the late-night stops- Merlin's Restaurant, Denny's, or even Perkins. I'm a major night owl without a car and would love to meet new people and do my writing somewhere besides my own kitchen table... but am uncomfortable with taking the bus that late at night, especially with laptop in tow. I live near 8th and E Hennepin- kind of near Surdyk's, if that helps. I do not feel comfortable posting my number on the boards, but feel free to NaNo mail me. :)

So, it took me 15 minutes to get the stupid computer to work again because it refused to give power to the bleeping mouse. Ugh!
Anywho....
If anyone needs info or anything I do have my notes with complete with name, addresses, phone numbers and so on.
I am leaving now, so won't have internet access until I get to first location.
Thanks!
And then, internet access will be thru someone elses computer.
