I was serious when I said I wanted to try and visit each area at least once this year. :P

Anyone interested in putting something together? I know you're out there!

I'd be interested. =D My friend Unkindloving and I are the ones trying to get people in Ocean County together. Monmouth isn't far, and I'd certainly be willing to take a trip. Unfortunately I don't know the area well, so I can't give a suggestion as to where.

I'm in, too, depending on when. Michelle, I'm also on the Jersey shore. Monmouth Beach. Where are you?

I live in Monmouth County (Howell, between Freehold and Jackson). I'd be interested in a write in, as I am brand new to this whole thing, and a little intimidated by it.

I'd love to come to a write-in, and I'm from Monmouth County. The only problem would be getting my parents to agree to drive me. (one of the inevitable problems of being 15)

Hmm, I clicked on this post cause it's talking about Monmouth County. My friend and I who are doing this together live in Monmouth County. What is a write in?

I'd be willing to come. I'm only 14 though so I've got the same concern about getting a parent to drive me.

Maybe we could go to the Mommouth County Library? I'm not exactly sure if it's in the center of all of us, but it could work.

I'm in Holmdel, so the upper north end (ish) of Monmouth County. Also, you don't need a laptop to do a write-in, as far as I know. Pen and paper still valid writing instrumentation. :)

Hey, all. I'm on the Middletown/Red Bank cusp, so I'm also a Monmouth County Nor'sider.

I've got a terrible problem with overscheduling myself - a problem that signing up for NaNoWriMo won't help. ;-) That said, if a write-in happens to take place during a hole in my otherwise booked-up-ness, I just may show up.

Regardless, great to know there's at least a few other crazies courageous creatives in my neck o' the woods...

Oh wow. You must live close because I live in the Middletown/ Red Bank area too.

I would love to do a write-in, but as I am also 15
my parents would probably not drive me, but I have friends for that :P

Middletown Public Library would be a great place to do it too(:

The Middletown Library would be a great place for a write in! It has a bunch of conference rooms and everything. As for 15 year olds, maybe your parents would be more willing to take you to the library, than going some random place to meet people do NaNo? I'm not saying lie to your parents, that would be bad. I'm saying ask to go to the library :)

I'm all in for a Write-In at the MTPL :)
Or for any write-in, in the Middletown/Red Bank Area. because I'm 16 and can't drive yet :/

A monmouth county meetup would be fabulous. Now, to convince my mom it's not a pedo-group.

also, nikki, where are you from!? <3
I'm fifteen as well, currently in a rental @ Colts Neck while we are selling our home in MA.
Wanna chat? (I'm sorry if I sound like a super creeper. I'm just...stupid, basically.)

If it helps your case a little, your mom is more than welcome to come. It's not that unusual for a parent to stay for a write-in (especially if the Wrimo is dependent on them for transportation). Most read a book or grab a drink during the write-in .

Write-ins are when your fellow novelists gather together at a given time and place and write....or to just chill with other people taking the same challenge.

As a Monmouth County resident I'd be more than willing to go to a write-in if I'm not working.

YES, I'm DEFINITELY interested in participating in Monmouth County write-ins. I can do daytime, evening OR weekends. I live in Ocean Grove but am willing to meet elsewhere -- Red Bank, Middletown, etc.

Panera locations are nice for writing.

If anyone is organizing meet-ups anywhere, PLEASE let me know. Otherwise, I'll be glad to schedule some in Ocean Township, tentatively at Panera on Rt. 35 (same shopping center as Staples and Stein Mart.) If interested in this location, let me know.

I live over in Atlantic Highlands.

I'd love to do a Write-In in the area. Middletown, Red Bank, wherever.

Diners are always great places to meet up. Broadway Diner in Red Bank, Middletown Diner (In Middletown, obviously), or the Marina Diner on Rt. 36.

I believe someone mentioned the Middletown Library as well, also an excellent spot.

Or even a park meet up on a particularly nice day, perhaps! I love writing outside, personally. Riverside Park in Red Bank perhaps?

* I've sent the majority of you a message saying that some of the write-ins marked "Ocean County" are being held at the Panera in Howell.. since it's basically the very bottom of Monmouth and fairly close to a lot of the Ocean County kids.

There is one this Wednesday at 7pm.
There will be more in the future. Please check your nanomail and get back to me about the likelihood of stopping by either this week or in the future.

If it's not too far- then i will gladly write down whatever schedule is good for you and take it into account when deciding days/times/locations.

Otherwise, good luck and i hope someone takes the reins for other Monmouth write ins!

Hi! I've gotten the green light to have a write-in at the Middletown Starbucks on Route 35. It will be on Friday November 13th. From 4-7 pm.

RSVP IS REQUIRED. (I can only house up to ten people plus myself and my friend who are organizing this)
RSVP by email (ALDudzinski@yahoo.com)
RSVP by phone (7327785370)
RSVP by nanomail (rosyfury)

My Starbucks is not big and my boss is worried about overload! Please make sure you RSVP if you're interested!

There will be fun and games. I plan on having goodie bags, free drinks, and a couple of little competitions for all of you.

<3 always and hope to see you there!

So I totally missed this thread until now, which means I missed the Friday the 13th write-in. Are there going to be more in the Middletown/Red Bank area? 'Cause I'm a northern Monmouth county-er too, and I'd love to get together with some other people for the second half of this. I could use the motivation!
