This is the thread for all Temecula, Murrieta, maybe even Lake Elsinore, Wildomar and surrounding areas. We can discuss write-ins and anything else you'd like here.

Anybody interested in getting together on November 1st?

Let me know. I'm eager to get started! I finally have my plot and am busily plotting!!

I would love to meet up. I am free after 1 p.m. Maybe Coffee Bean or the library?

Another GREAT spot to write (though not sure whether they are open Sundays) is Eclectic Books in Murrieta. The owner, Tess, is very writer-friendly.

Juliet, on the main Riverside page there's a scrolling calendar. There's a write-in scheduled at Eclectic Books already (tho not sure what the date is). I have a late lunch with my parents on 11-1 (bad timing, I know, but they live out of state...) so I will be in San Diego. Sorry.

Maybe Donna, Kim, or Benjamin or someone would like to schedule something. I'll introduce you all if you're coming to the kick-off.

Hi Juliet! --and Diann! I was thinking of having a write-in tomorrow, Nov. 1st from 1-3 at the new Cafe Bravo (Or Bravo Coffee) on the corner of Margarita Rd. and Date St. in Murrieta. Can that get posted on the calendar? Thanks!

it didn't seem to show up on the calendar. Oh well, I'll be there by 1pm--or sooner--I am hoping to get into the little area just to the left of the entrance with the couches....we'll see...

So, that'll be a Murrieta write-in later today? I'd love to attend, if I can! If you can ping me before then, I'd be super grateful.

I might be coming to the write in today if I can beg a ride off my mum. I live right up Whitewood so I don't think she could really object.
I think it would be good motivation and a good start to NaNo since I wasn't able to make the kick-off party.
Hope I'll see you all later. ^ ^

No problem, Diann! :) I'm here now drinking a delicious freshly brewed raspberry iced tea. I'm about to go offline and continue working on my novel--335 words so far... Hope to see some of you there. I'm sitting to the left of the entrance on the couch. I made a little NaNoWriMo sign that I put on the table top in here.

I wasn't able to make it today - we couldn't find the location, and I'm a bit too feverish anyway - but, next week is what I'm aiming for! Hope to see you then.

I enjoyed the write-in and got a lot done. Love the Bravo Coffee location. I hadn't been there before, but the little side room is sweet!

Check the calendar - there's a write-in on the border of Murrieta and Temecula this Saturday. And others. And if the write-ins already scheduled don't work for you, feel free to suggest a place, date and time here to see if anyone wants to get together. We encourage everyone to get together for a write-in, even if they have to organize it themselves.

I work and volunteer during the week so I'm not too available for weekday write-ins but lots of other people are. Hopefully you can all find the perfect venue and time. Then let me know and I will add it to the calendar.

If you have questions, someone is sure to have the answers. And happy writing!

Is anyone interested in meeting during the week? Yet again, it looks like I might be out of town during the weekend, but I'd still like to sit with other writers, chat and gripe and bump up word counts. I can't actually host a write-in in my home, but I'd be glad to meet at a friendly location such as a coffee shop or bookstore, or even a library study room. Any one care to meet up?

Casssita, can you meet tomorrow, Friday evening? Or will you be leaving for your weekend then? Let me know. We can meet at Barnes & Noble at the Promenade Mall. The rest of the coffee places are closed at 4 and 6. B&N is open until 11 pm... Let me know.

I'd like to try to meet you guys at B&N--for me it would have to be after dinner though. I might not get away with it since my daughter is having a friend spend that night--Charley likes to take long walks when there are lots of little girls over and HE often ends up at B&N so if I can talk him into sticking around, or if I can get Amanda to stick around, then I'll be there--let me know what time you would be there. I'm still planning on for sure going the write in on Saturday in Temecula.

I haven't heard from Casssita but I need to get away from the distractions of home. What time's good for you, Donna?

And I just have to say: OUTSTANDING job on the word count!

I won't be leaving till Saturday morning, so Friday evening works well for me. I get off work at 6:30, and can be at Barnes and Noble's shortly thereafter.

I look forward to seeing anyone who can come.

It depends on what time I get done with dinner, but probably around 6ish. I need to get away too. Today hasn't been as productive as the previous four days.

Casssita and Donna, I will be there. 6:30 works for me.

Whoever's there first should try to grab an outlet - they are in very short supply in that place!

Ooooh, good point. My laptop lasts all of about 5 minutes without one, so I won't get far otherwise. I'll see if I can bring a power strip, though it sounds like I won't be the first one there.

We're having a great time at B&N. Three ladies writing and one sick boyfriend looking at books. That's OK. He can infect everyone else...

Addendum: there are four of us writing and one sickie.

And I just got 600 words from watching and listening to a couple on a blind date. Bonus points: the lady is now talking to the woman sitting next to her about the book she's writing based on the Dracula novel and I'm lifting their convo word for word when I can hear them! I love it!! Now I just have to find a place to add it in to my novel.

Oh, I'm bummed! I'd read today's Write-In time as being at 3:00, but when I checked again to get the address so we could leave, it said 1:00, so I couldn't make it. What a shame. :/

Hopefully next week, though; I'd really like to make it to at least one. My uncle's perfectly willing to take me to the ones in Temecula/Murrieta and everything, so...

Rinna, they were still there at 3. I left at 3:30 and some people were going strong...

But we'll see you next week. It's a Grind at ONE O'CLOCK. It's in the Ralphs shopping center (next door to the Cold Stone.)

She's right, Rinna. Emiko and I were there until about 4:30. In that last hour and a half Em added another 1.1K, and I doubled what I wrote in the first 2 hours. :D

Sorry you missed us!

Thanks for everyone that was there I had a great and inspiring time.
