Just a reminder that Daylight Savings Time ends at 2am on November 1st, when our clocks are set back an hour to 1am. So you get an extra hour to write (or sleep).

Daylight Saving Time is now over. You may need to update your time zone here on the NaNo site, since it won't happen automatically. This is important because if your account is still on daylight time, the site will think that your noveling day (and therefore your noveling month) ends an hour earlier than you think it does.
To check your time zone, go to the "My NaNoWriMo" menu and choose "Edit User Settings", OR go to your profile and click on "User Settings" in the left sidebar. Scroll down to "Time zone" at almost the end of the page. From the drop down menu, choose the option that shows the current time -- for California, this is the "-0800" zone. Click "Submit" at the bottom of the page, and you're set.
