With less than a week to go, how is everyone feeling? Confident? Nervous? Im at the stage where I just need to start writing - I keep fiddling with my plot outline, and need to stop it! I was going to use this time to write a short story or something, but my characters are so embedded in my head now, that I dont want to lose them by writing something else. Im already getting very hard to live with...;-) How is everyone else feeling? Stormy x |

I currently feel like my head is going to go *POP*.
I keep on trying to sort out the plot for the middle and end, except I keep on thinking of things to go at the beginning and that just keeps on stretching... it's not fair.
I just want NaNao to start so I can write down the ebginning and tell my head that I'm not oging to fiddle with it anymore and just get on with the rest of it.
----------I do not like the cone of shame...
Maybe it's a stupid theory or maybe just stupidity

I'm feeling excited yet very nervous! Everyone else seems to know what they'll be writing about and have long outlines already written. Me? I'm still trying to decide which of my ideas to go for, and even then I will still need to write the outline. GAH! But I can't wait :)

Nervous, but my little sister is coming over to stay the night and we're both gonna write for a few hours before bed (and eat chocolate and maybe have some drinks... Not 100% sure of the plans yet...) so that's chilling me out slightly cause she knows what she's gonna write about... Tbh all she's talked about since September is NaNo. :D

You're not the only one, Stormy, who's hard to live with! My partner is NOT happy with me! My head is always somewhere else and it doesn't make for good 'couple time'!!!

Can't wait to start writing. It's all exciting and nice to see that other people are full of joyful anticipation too!

Terrified.
I have just signed up.
I've never written any story longer than about 8000 words, and I have two stories desperate to be written !
I know the plot of one, the other is a complete mystery apart from a few scenes.
I don't know which one to do :-(

I've read somewhere that you could try writing everything down about each idea, leave it for a bit then go back and see which one's the strongest in your mind. Try that for a day or two before Sunday and see how you feel then.

Excited, mostly. I'm a first-timer, so I don't yet understand how brain-shredding it can be.
I've got my character, plot and most of an outline. Little bit disappointed that I'll not be able to start on the stroke of midnight, but I'll be at a Halloween LARP instead, so that's not so bad!
Of course, with four more days left to go, I might well change my entire idea at the last minute... No must save other ideas for future NaNoWriMos!

I'm out for Hallowe'en clubbing this year so I think I'm going to be getting a rather late start!
(It was LARP last year as well that started me late... and it completely changed what I ended up writing ;) )
I've had little time really to think about things so I guess I'm coming in flying by the seat of my pants. A few things are forming though and I had one of those little "oh, that might work" moments whilst sitting on the bus last night. :)
