Anyone in the Falkirk area ? We have no "region" of our own - boohoo etc...

I really doubt I'll find time to get 50,000 words but i'm going to give it a shot anyway and would be happy to meet up with a few of you.

Hey, I think I remember you from last year.

I'm pretty happy to try and meet up, gotta go into town every week or so anyway. I'm hoping to get 50k this year, dunno if I will though, my stories tend to disappear after 40k.

The reason you have no ML and region of your own is because you won't volunteer. *grin*

I'm still keeping watch on you. But you'll have to self organize a bit.

Important things to remember during NaNoWriMo:

You can still do this! Trust me, I know you can.
You don’t have to spell check
Grammar is optional
Editing comes later
And a plot is used for gardening

i'll volunteer next year :) Baby no.3 has kept us busy this year and I wouldn't want to be an ML without having a good amount of time to organise ML things as well as writing a novels worth of material.

riverdoe: yes, we almost met up i think - maybe this year :)

I'm in Falkirk! :)

I've never actually got around to doing Nano, even though I've been meaning to for years...really hoping I can actually go through with it this year. Though already my calender for November is filling up at an alarming rate; the panic is beginning to set in! lol

Sorry I find using Nano's email a pain. I'm in Stirling too. Kate did we meet last year? Janette here . If anyone wants to meet in Stirling or Falkirk I'm up for it too, Although Stirling is easier for me wiht my Guide Dog. Can offer my Sitting room with coffee, tea...juice or anything for a group session if anyone is interested. I work from home so can fit in with most times. Let me know but preferably off list as I won't be able to find the emails esily as some of he buttons aren't working for m sadly.

Hope you are all writing like crazy - I'm writing a load of rubbish right now but enjoying it in between working.

Good luck everyone.
Janette

OK then people - how do you fancy a meet and a writing session ? I suggest Costa Coffee (just off Falkirk High Street) on a Saturday morning. Or the pub "City", where the old cinema was, is also very good and roomy if we are suddenly inundated with people. Also, if anyone needs any computer help at all - which is my area of expertise - just let me know.

cheers

I could Costa on a Saturday morning if people are up for it? I'm usually about town then anyway :)

First NaNo... it's not going too badly, but then there's always uni work to avoid!

Great to have another Stirling person on board. Sure there are many others lurking about, as you said, there keeping their heads down, probably writing like crazy and not got time to visit the boards.

I would definitely be up for a meet up.... Saturdays are a possibility but I would prefer during the week if possible. I could maybe get to Stirling... but not sure.
