The subject pretty much says it all... can't write much else since I don't know where to really start...

Well. My name is Sara, as you can see by location I live in a small town in the middle of no where which basically means I am a fifteen minute drive to any important place, like a mall or theater, and I am hoping to actually complete my novel this year while juggling a full time job (for the first time, the other times I was in college or had issues with being left alone). Not really sure how everything is going to turn out this year, but it always works out in the end!

Drop me a line! Don't be afraid of poking.

Ooh, ooh!!! I'm in the SW corner!!! I always joke that if I were any farther south, I'd be in West Virginia! (which is only a slight exaggeration!)
I live fairly close to a town with a mall (and cinema), though. It's, like, 5-10 minutes usually to get there. (not that that means I go often... Mall trips area rare treat!)
My name is Ellie and I'm 18. This will be my first NaNoWriMo, and I'm actually a bit apprehensive currently. But I am really looking forward to it!

I'm in the southwestern corner as well! Almost in West Virginia, too. As a matter of fact, that's where I am now--in a Barnes & Noble, plotting my novel (I haven't had any outline until today) and I decided to check in on the boards. I have three--maybe four--other friends who are doing NaNo and we're probably going to have some write-ins in the area if you are interested. I don't think they'd mind a few more WriMos.

Edit: To give you an idea of where we'd be meeting, we all attend the Fayette campus! So it would be somewhere around there. :)

Hi Sara,
I'm not sure of my PA geography (I've lived here 3 years and it still confuses me) but does Bedford count as SW corner? For the last three years its just been me and a few writers from up towards Altoona. I drive 40 miles -north- to a Barnes and Noble (Altoona) and 40 miles -south- to the state line, so I think I also qulify for small town in the middle of nowhere. I am hoping to complete this year's novel in 15 days since I have houseguests for two solid weeks. That means I will have a pathetic start and then hopefully 3K word days in the second half of the month.
good luck everyone!

I'm from Greensburg. It's nice to see our corner represented!

Sure! Give me a heads up of when the write-in is and I'll see how things work out in my schedule. Good luck in writing!

I was staring at the crazy county map I have and Bedford could be considered in the SW corner. Good luck with your novel and I am sure you will be well on your way to completing it... never know what inspiration waits around the corner, ready to ambush you.

Yep, I think this may be the first year I have seen any thread about this corner...

I'm a stone throw (and about an hour and half drive) from WV myself and in a county in which there are jokes about being one of two counties annexed to make PA a perfect corner. At least I think there are, it is hard to keep track of all of them. I hear ya' about the mall and theater trips, unless it is to a dollar theater and even then there has to be more reason to take that drive.

Be confident in what you have in mind for your novel and have fun writing.

I'd definitely be interested in a write-in! Let me know when and I'll work things out and try to find transportation there.

Hello everyone! :) SW Corner of PA is usually the description I give to people when telling them where I am from. Ellie might be just a bit farther south or west than me as I have to travel about 15 minutes or so south to get to WV. (down I-79)

I'd love to do a write-in. I know I'm getting a late start in all this but I'm going to do my best!

Is anyone up for a write-in this Saturday? I think I might be able to make it out if other wrimos will be there! Is Uniontown a good meeting place for you all? The only place that's coming to mind is Panera. Anyone have any other ideas?

So is Saturday evening okay for those interested? I'll double check on a time with some people I know and get back asap. Does anyone know if Panera has wi-fi? I suppose it doesn't matter, though, since we'll all be writing! ;) Kowai Risu, I'll add you as a buddy so I can NaNoMail you the details. Same goes for anyone else who'd like to come!

Shee, I'm replying late! Uniontown is great for me, it's like, not even a 5 minute drive! But I didn't know there was a Panera there... It would be awesome to go to a write-in, since I've kind of been failing at NaNoWriMo... (I've had other people using my only computer and my being sick preventing me from writing...)
Providing I don't cough myself to death, I'd so love to meet in Uniontown!
EDIT: Okay, so I looked up Uniontown's Panera and apparently it does have free wi-fi...
