Hey everybody!

I know the ML's had mentioned letting them know if you were going to host a midnight write in or something of the sort, and I totally would if I could, but thanks to my Land Lord's front door being three feet away from mine, and being on the second floor of an apartment, I don't think anybody would really enjoy me having people over until 3am, even if all we're doing is clacking away on our keyboards.

However, that just means that I have to figure out if anybody would like to do a midnight write in this Saturday, and if so, where we could/would be doing it. I'm in Palms, so the westside, but I'd be willing to travel (not ridiculously far) to have an awesome first few hours of NaNo. I also know one or two people who are interested as well.

So. Anybody up for midnight writing? Know where we could possibly meet up? Any cafes or coffee places open until 3am? Shockingly, even though it's LA, I've found a lack of these places, but maybe one of you can shine some light on the matter.

Come on, start NaNo in the same crazy spirit that you signed up for it! Midnight write in AHOY!

So, either people are too busy working, or they don't really care to do midnight write-ins?!

Well, regardless, I'll be putting in a last-minute word in the email, in the hopes that *someone* will get back to me with something to throw up on the calendar.

I will sticky this in the meantime. Maybe someone will notice it today :p

Hi, sorry it's been a busy week. My group is definitely rocking Halloween and then starting NaNoWriMo at midnight. We'll watch horror movies, have a potluck, read scary stories, play dress-up with the creepy statues on campus, and more. Anyone is welcome and would be appreciated. the address is 901 E Alosta Ave. Azusa, CA 91702. The apartment is in Crestview P-252. My cell is (818) 427-9232, call if you get lost. :)

Yeah, I think a public write-in at midnight this weekend is going to be really hard to pull off. Any places that are open that night are probably going to be completely packed, which is not conducive to a good writing environment (at least not for me). There may be a few out-of-the-way locations that I can't really think of right now that would still be feasible. Otherwise, people's homes (or some kind of reserved location) is probably the best bet if they're willing to do so.

Of course, I could be wrong, so if anyone knows of places that are open (Westsider here, too) and not necessarily jammed to where you can't breathe, I'm open to the possibility.

Ack!! I wish I hadn't agreed to go to WeHo for Halloween. With the crazy traffic I have no idea when I'll be home. Otherwise I would've gladly hosted! =\

I'll be keeping my eye on the thread to see if anyone else offers to host!
