Are you participating in any Halloween festivities, or are the pre-NaNoWriMo jitters getting to you so much that you could not even contemplate donning a costume on NaNo-Eve?

I am about to run off to the sewing machine to complete my costume. I'm dressing up as a lumberjack -- mostly because it means I get to walk around wearing a felt beard, which I know the kids at my work will just love.

So, if you have a costume planned, what will it be? Something related to or inspired by your possible novel? Or, perhaps, someone else's work?

I have fallen in love with duct tape as costume component.

We made the boy a suit of armor out of duct tape.

And looking through a book of duct tape costume ideas, I'm seriously considering making an Etch-a-Sketch sandwich board to surprise my boss. (And give me a costume for all eternity!)

It seems silly to dress up for the 4 or so trick or treaters who brave my end of the street. But if I do, it'll be as
A) zombie, in costume newly cut/ripped last Saturday for dancing Thriller
or
B) all-purpose Death Eater

Neither of which have anything to do with my novel.

The rest of my family is setting up shop in a neighbor's driveway with their Vampire Control Agency, (steampunkish, I think).

I'll probably dress up as a smug Chinese guy.

Edit: I'm gonna dress up as a Bro, bro.

I still have no idea! Been feeling a little sick lately so hopefully by the time Halloween comes I'll still be able to go with my cousins and my little cousin. Going to go with them on his first trick-or-treating! Lol.

Anyways, I've been trying to come up with an idea with the clothes/hats/costumes/stuff I already have yet not too elaborate. I'm not the one trick-or-treating this year. Lol. Ideas?

I'm a mime. Wear a striped shirt, white gloves, black pants and a hat and most people get it, especially if you don't talk. I'm taking it a step further with red suspenders and the makeup as well. :D

It was either that or a murder mystery maiden, but I didn't get the dress tailored in time, so I'll just leave it for prom. <3

I might be a vampire mime, if I come into 20 bucks soon. :D

Last night we had a party with the neighbors, and so I wore my hakama - the clothes that samurai would wear (minus armor). It's a pretty sweet costume. I went as the samurai bodyguard for my little sisters, who were princesses :3

I went as Drusilla from Buffy the Vampire Slayer, and my little sister went as Buffy and periodically pretended to stake me throughout the night. It was BAD.ASS. SERIOUSLY.
Either that or we are humongous dorks.
