Today and tomorrow, I will be collecting many of the items I believe will contribute to a successful NaNoWriMo! Items such as teas, comfy clean blankets for curling up and writing with the furkids, prepared meals that I can freeze ahead and eat later, etc.. I am also creating a number of writing havens within my own home, as well as scouting out local writer friendly joints, particularly those with extended hours of operation (I reside in Broomfield, so if you have a few suggestions, I would appreciate it!). I was curious as to what everyone else is doing to prepare - any thoughts or ideas?
I am so excited! Happy writing to you all!

I'm a big fan of soups. Big batches of soups in crock-pot or stove, frozen in gallon-sized Ziploks. Easy to defrost and devour without interrupting the Muse at Work.
I'm making sure I have all the CDs I like to write to ripped to the laptop. Blue Man Group, various A-Ha albums, the Tori Amos album with the song that got me started on this year's idea... Need to find the Exchange: More Than Words CD. It's somewhere in the house.
Possibly had better pack up the Rock Band drum kit so that I don't get tempted to play on the Wii.
And I need to get over to the bus station and get one more each 10-ticket books of Expresses and Locals, for ease of getting to write-ins in Longmont, or in Boulder when it's too icy to bike.
And tomorrow I'll be setting up the yWriter Project File that this year's novel will go in...

Wish I knew! All I know is pretty much around the Rocky Mountain Metro Airport, from when my husband used to work in that neighborhood. There's a lovely restaurant with a view of the runway there--Runway Grill I think it's called--I used to do some lunch time writing there. And apparently there's a Crepes A La Carte outlet in Broomfield (Flatirons Crossing maybe?) that Google keeps offering whenever people ask it how to get to Saturday night's midnight kick-off party...
