So, who else will make an appearance at CC's this weekend? I am thrilled that DH will watch our three year old so that I can be there, pounding out words and meeting all you Baton Rouge wrimos. I got to go to one write in last year (my first year) but didn't really get to meet anybody--too many people, and too much background noise.
Hoping to meet a few of you this year!
Now, how many words can I get written between the time that I get up Sunday morning and the write in? :)

I have a soccer game at 3, so my plan is to show up early -at 1 or so- and write on my own...or with whoever else decides to show up early too!
I'll probably have to leave around 2-2:15, just when everyone is getting there. Boo.

I agree--boo! I would have liked to meet you. However, it is cool that you get to take advantage of the coffee shop atmosphere/make the staff wonder a little while. It's so different than writing at home.
Come to think of it, though, there probably won't be a whole lot of meet and greet, right? Everybody is going to be too busy writing their novels....

As Sundays are word war write-ins there is generally some meet and greet, get your coffee what not in the first thirty minutes. During the hour word war, there is nothing but the clicky clack of little keys. Then there is much talking again as word counts are tallied. Some people come early and get more writing done then. Others stay late and get more writing done then is well.
Write-ins are definitely social time as well for this group.

Sorry I won't be able to contribute much to the word war for our region as I will be handwriting. :(

Sorry I had to leave early, but it was good to see y'all, even if just for a bit! The good news is my soccer team won 7-2. :D
Alright, I'm off to finish up that daily quota!
