Since I have a desktop computer at home and no laptop, I will have to write by hand during write ins and transfer that to the computer when I get home. However, I want to be as productive as possible to really contribute to Baton Rouge's total in word wars! (And get a lot done in the 2 hours or so I get away from my toddler. :) )

Any advice on how to handwrite really really fast? There's no way I can expect to keep up with everyone else's typing speed, right?

Maybe develop some sort of short-hand system, at least for words you use a lot. I don't know if you'll be up to word war speed even then, but if you're a fast hand-writer, you might. I haven't handwritten a whole lot in several years now, so I don't know how possible that is. Good luck, though!
