Okay, so I came up with this idea this morning as my mind slipped in and out of consciousness, so I can't guarantee it , will be a GOOD idea.

Okay, so here we go:
Hamilton is a big place right? And we know every year we go up against Delaware and ... some other place [O.o how do I NOT remember?!]
So, I was thinking that, in addition to regional wars with those places, we regional war with ourselves.
Which area of hamilton has the fastest, most dedicated writers? [if you will]

sound like a nifty idea?

Areas include, but are not limited to:
East End, Downtown, Westdale, Dundas, Ancaster, Stoney Creek, Mountain [Stoney Creek Mountain, as a separate one?], Burlington ['cause I know a few of those like to hang out with us].
If you do not see your area on here, please specify.
Hamilton elsewhere, I think, should also be an option. 'cause it's not fair for someone out in Haldimand [I think we have one of those] to be going against everyone from the East End.
If, say SC, the mountain, and Burlington only have a few, they will be put into Hamilton Elsewhere, too. Just to even it all out?
We'll have to see how the numbers come out.

I'll leave it up to you to decide what area you are from as there is no definite rules.
Me, for instance, I could be from either the East End or Downtown [which some people have pointed out to me, before]

I'm going to go with East End, because I've been saying I'm from there since I knew there was more to Hamilton than the park across the street and the 3 blocks to school.

yey ou nay to the idea?

I think it was Calgary and Delaware last year. Calgary sticks in my mind.

Yes, it was Calgary and Delaware. That may still happen. It's being worked on.

But what Ziggie is proposing is something different. Could happen whether the inter-regional competition happens. She's proposing a competition among the various areas of our own region.

I would just like to observe that if we do this, Dundas will Kick Your Butts! Right Cayte? Cayte? Where are you? Oh, Caaaaaayte!

Heehee.

Well I'm on Main west, where it turns left towards Ancaster. Does that mean I'm Hamilton East?

Actually, I think that's considered part of Dundas. Mebbe. What's your word count, Redleader? Heehee!

Seriously, do we really want to make this happen? It would have to be volutnary, I think.

You know, Burlington has never been ok with being a part of Hamilton... (that being said joining the Oakville Nano region would be a stroke of death ...) but I think Burlington would jsut run Hamilton off the plate, man.

"cause you know we have our own University here now... and an incomplete landmark and better rugby...perhaps the Burlington Stampeders could beat the Tiger Cats...not sure... at least Burlington has never been teased with a pro hockey team...

Or was this post supposed to be in the friendly taunting thread instead.... 'cause I could do that...

Buy I have to represent for my Blue and Orange city of "Stand By" - that is just how we roll..

Well, I lived in Burlington all my life, minus those 8-month stints in Guelph for school, and JUST moved in Hamilton in Sept. If team Burlington would so graciously accept me, I will try my best to pull my weight!

^^I've got a good knack for not saying much but stretching it into many words, that's good right? Right?!
