Thirteen hotdogs went flying in all directions as the grill clanked and fell to the floor. Bly silently cursed as her St. bernard raced past the fallen, hot grill towards the fresh meat.

"Damn," she cried as she burnt her foot on a hot coal. "Why does it always end like this?"

My number that i got from the Tee-Off is 3.

Novel 1:

Three days ago, life was perfect. Well as perfect as it could get, all things considered. Three days ago, I was unaware of just how much he despised me, how much he was disgusted by me. Three days ago, I was happy.

Novel 2:

Three beautiful women stood in the extravagant foyer of the Hideaway Inn. Amanda Cameron, owner and manager of the inn, stood with her arms crossed and a scowl on her face. “I measured. I swear I measured it. The piano should have fit between the fireplace and the dining room entrance.”

EDIT: I've been informed that I've been doing this wrong, here's it for reals

Seven lockers stood along the right wall of the airlock. Three of them had names scribbled on them, one had the red cross on it signifying that it was for medical supplies. The other three, were not labeled.

"You'll get one of these after a we're underway," Jack said, pointing at one of the lockers. "They're supposed to be for space suits but we don't need those."

Kaylie wasn't sure if he was being sarcastic or not. She really hoped they had space suits, just in case.

Four daggers protruded from Nedari's chest when he regained consciousness. He'd experienced worse. After counting to ten and coughing up more blood, he started yanking the blades out.

There was one guy that everyone thought was normal. But he was not. He lived alone in a small apartment on the outskirts of Manhattan, only leaving to run the necessary errands.

"Twenty Six. Right." Maple muttered to herself as she turned the card around, opened it, closed it, turned it again.
"What?"
"Someone wrote on the inside of this; 'Happy Two-Six'. I'm twenty-eight." She opened the card yet again and deciphered the squiggle underneath the offending message, "It gets worse; the head of HR wrote it. Makes you wonder how she gets the numbers right on our paychecks."

My number was 6. I cringed when I seen it. I'm like HOW am I going to make it work. And yet it did. LOL.

Six years might seem like a life time to be married, but I wake up every morning still smiling at my beautiful wife like I did the first time we slept next to each other. My brothers say that the honeymoon period shouldn't last this long; Clancey says that he started cheating on his wife after the varnish wore off and he seen swollen ankles from being pregnant for only two months. Savannah's the most beautiful pregnant woman I've ever seen. She says we're only have a couple more after she has our little girl, but if it were up to me, we'd have six more just so I could watch her glow. If our little girl is as pretty as her momma, I'm going to have to make sure Chase has a lot of brothers around to help protect her long after I'm gone

I know I shouldn't be breaking the flow of this, but I'm curious what this talk of 'numbers' is...I was late to yesterday's meet, by like an hour, so I'm curious.

For those not at the Party when we did this event, allow me to explain. (I will be bringing the supplies to the write-in tomorrow as well, so you have one more chance to do this)

Michigan::FLint Red Hot Writers actually Tee-ed off their novels this year with a tiny game at our party.

Each writer selected a Red Hot Golf tee (painted by moi) and placed the Tee in styrofoam base. Using one(or more) of three foam dice (also RED) and a golf club, The Red Hots's actually putted the dice off the tee. Whatever number showed on the die face, was the number each writer needed to use to write the first part of their novels. What you see above is each Red Hot's sentence with their corresponding number being used.

After Tee'ing Off, each Red Hot kept their Tee. Their instructions as to use a sharpie and at increments (every 5 or 10 thousand) make a has mark on the Tee. the object is by the end of November you will have hash marked your Tee to the point that after reaching 50K you will blacken the head of the Red Hot Tee.

From here on out we will be Tee'ing Off every year's party!!!

Thus - the number sentences you see above.

and I am a proud, proud ML to see such awesome Tee Offs. Flint writers ARE RED HOT!!!! Chris Baty should be afraid!!!

OORAH and Insanely Yours,

My number is one. This was easier than I thought.

One eye peeled open before the other, under John's isistent prodding. He raises his arms to pull the other wide open, just to rap his klnuckles on the pod's flat glass cover. No matter but his arms are weak and meander from what he wants them to do. Lying flat, he pries his other eye open with an effort his eyebrows couldn't manage. Red letters scroll from side to side, saying that he should check his body for sensation and control.
He knows the drill. He wrote it. He checks the list mentally, and anticipates the words he reads. He rubs two weeks worth of crusty protein from all four corners of his eyes. So far soo good. The others will atttribute any ill effects to hibernation sickness.

Best of luck everybody - See you at noonish!

Five. That was how old I was the last time I remember loving my dad. People called my father "Charm" Hadley. Mostly because of his way with women and the boyish dimples that formed in his cheeks when he smiled. We called him the sperm donor, or the A-hole depending if my mother was in the room.

That's my tee-off. Probly get edited out, but that's the beauty of Nano! Add 'em up Word Count Validator!

There were five flights of stairs to climb before Emily Strauser could even begin to move into her dorm room at the University of Pennsylvania. Five flights of stairs before she could meet her roommate, five flights of stairs before she could start college.

Keep in mind that the goal of this exercise is to keep yourself alive, not the other way around. Could there be a zombie apocalypse tomorrow? Yes? Then live to another day just to fight some zombies, I promise you it will be worth it. Or, if there will be a zombie apocalypse, set yourself a goal for how many zombies you want to off, and if you make it, stay alive. Let's say you set a goal of twenty-four zombies, and only make it to twenty-three before you fall asleep? Then you've failed and must live to fight another day. If you kill more than twenty-four feel free to off yourself, no one will judge you.

Another ten days had passed since that particular occurrence, Jason discovering the other Gravediggers listened to him just a littler bit better, even if they still said nasty things about him out of earshot, when Ophelia had personally paid him a visit.

Three days. That’s how long Diom had to get his magic back before he lost it forever. He still had not figured out what happened. One moment he was conjuring up some mood enhancement in his sleeping chamber, and the next moment he was unable to conjure the wine he liked. At first he thought it was some type of practical joke that one of his three older brothers had pulled on him but that turned out to be a false alarm.

“OK,” Diom accused, “which one of you cast a spell to web up my magic?”

Ten minutes later, after arguing first with Padma and then my step-father that I wanted to help with the dishes, she and I stood at the kitchen sink together. We were silent at first, she (I supposed) because she was embarassed or shy, and myself because I just didn't know what to say to her. Three years had made us awkward around each other, no matter how friendly we'd been before. Despite myself, I hoped that would change. It would be nice to have at least one person to talk to about things during my prison sentence here in Hell. After a while though, we started chatting, catching up on each others lives a little. I saw Rama watching us around the corner out of the corner of my eye. I had some suspicions about why he was so interested in us getting along, but I tried not to think about that.

HA! I'm rather proud of this paragraph, everything past the first sentence I made up just now. My word block is finally gone, and I can settle into a day of productive writing. Or maybe I mean an unproductive day of pretending I'm a writer! lol
