Or am I the only maniac who waited until after the last bong on the clock to start writing? Just need another 475 to meet today's quota. Going to try to get 4000 this first day.

See you all at B&N, Somerville, on Wed!

I doubt you are the only maniac ;). I literally invented my novel from 11:55-12:00 and then started writing.

What are you doing reading the forum? Get back to writing!

Like you, my 2007 novel appeared like a puff of smoke in my brain in 10 minutes. Pretty heady feeling, isn't it?

1,073 so far. Need to sleep and write more in the morning. I have to work a 5pm to midnight shift tomorrow so I wanted to get something started early on. Best of luck to you all!

I was in a car riding back from Allentown PA when midnight hit. I plunked down about 50 words on the Alphasmart...then called it quits due to a headache and the bumpy ride were just too much.

So I'm just doing my nightly region lurk before heading the bed. I'll really good and start the race tomorrow. :)

1903 (Couldn't wait until the morning)

Sipping a great Meritage I made last year, along with a slice of absolutely fascinating creamy CHeddar Chese I bought in Wisconsin. Meanwhile, the chickens I smoked for dinner are gently boiling in the stock pot. Can you say "engage all senses"?

Good luck to all! Bedtime, finally.

Set those clocks back!

I did! I wrote about 1900 words before I went to bed last night. I'm pretty tired today, but I have two little kids so I'm used to it. :)

I did as well. I came just short of 1000 words, then went to sleep. I only have around 700 more to go for today.

Started as soon as my clock clicked over to midnight. Wrote about 500 words and then went to sleep. I finished up my quota this morning.

Hi Bill,

I usually start at midnight but I was away so I started on my AlphaSmart about 5:45 AM and downloaded when I got home. I really have to up my word count for the day. I'm only at 808 words.

Gotta play catch-up. See you later.

Had too much Halloween adult beverages to start at midnight. But did early Sunday morning. Logged 1718 words then and added another 1634 early (before dawn) this morning - total 3352. i'm on a roll, just hope I can sustain it. I'm writing as fast as I can and new plot twists come up, but out of sequence. Got to capture it all.
Jamie and Pat, sorry I won't make B&N tonight, got the last screenwriting class in Princeton. See you next week.
