Okay, I checked the Calendar, and all the Thursday Write ins are listed as TBA. Did you/Are you announcing the places at the kick offs or will you be posting the locations on the Calendar. I'd like to go to those, and I'm relatively sure I'll be able to make some of them. :)
Thanks!

I show this Thursday's write-in with a location and updated time... did that this weekend after asking for opinions. We will be deciding location on a weekly basis based on how well locations work or don't work for write-ins. :)

I am new also, but I believe it is when people get together and talk for little while and then begin writing utilizing one another as support and motivation.

Write-ins are the meetings we have during the week outside the weekly meetup where it's less about socializing and much more about writing (word wars, etc.) and helping each other through plot glitches, etc. It's competitive, silly, fun, and often very quiet when we're all writing. Keep an eye on the twitter account for the region to see when impromptu write-ins pop up... I often just stop somewhere on a slow evening and do my writing at a coffee shop and everyone is free to join. :)
