We had this last year, and it was extremely useful by TGIO time, so let's do this again. :D

Here's how this works. One of the USA MLs set this tool up so whoever posts in this thread will automatically get added to this graph that displays all of our progress for November. It's not a complete picture of the region, but it's good enough to be able to see who's lagging behind and who's shooting up up and up. :D

So everyone who posts here will be added to the graph automatically. Just one post, and it's enough :D To make this thread a bit fun, let's include one line of our novel in our post :)

Okiedokie? Let me know if you have any questions. :D

* graphic image will be added in this space shortly, as soon as it shows up. :)

Aaand here's the graph!

* This image gets updated from time to time as people post here or if you update your word count. :D

AAAAND here's my reply, and a line from my novel:

Quote:

“I was summoned early,” Ryan said with an exaggerated yawn. “I swear, how can you go to work at this time of day? I’m still deep in dreamland at this time on a normal day!”

me too!

edit:

lines from novel pala!

Lysandra watched closely, wondering how such a dance could be learned. The hips seemed to have a life of their own, and they made the woman's skirt swirl dazzlingly, as though she were wearing skirts made of the thickest blood. The figures the hips traced seemed to take the form of circles, or numbers, or curves that Lysandra could give no name to. And when the woman stood in place, and fluttered the muscles of her belly, Lysandra could not help watching how the sinews rippled, as though there were little fingers in every part of the woman's body, controlling each movement with precision.

Here's the line. I know it doesn't make any sense:

He left the room very calmly, leaving a group of confused and perplexed workers in a circle.

It was yet another normal workday for them.

Add me too broskis, also, have a line from what I have so far.

"There’s a certain level of fear that you get when he’s looking at you like that. You try not to notice; you try to down your Swamp Rum, and slowly it dawns on you that the whole pub is silent. And he’s just there, right next to you, looking at you with the loathing of generations past and the abandoned hope of generations to come. And in that short moment, you see your life flashing before you. You see your triumphs, your defeats… you see everything that has ever happened. In that short moment, you see the world. And you can’t help but pray that nothing happens to you."

line: "My gaze reverted towards him and I noticed, with a jolt, that we had been sitting in silence for the last ten minutes, no conversation at all. "

Lines:

“I know, right? Not that there’s anything wrong with gayness, of course. I mean some things are better off gay.”

“Like rainbows.”

“Exactly. And fake fur and glitter. Everything is gay in its own way.”

“True facts. Even straight men’s dicks are a little bent,” C muttered rather nonchalantly and finished off her egg pie with one huge bite.

add me?

"When you were a kid, you used to like Japanese cartoons. You made sure you were done with your homework before 5 o'clock because 5 o'clock meant Dragon Ball Z, and Dragon Ball Z meant Vegeta. And you had an unhealthy crush on Vegeta (something you will never admit to, until now, even at gunpoint). But then when Vegeta was killed by some alien with a name reminiscent of a refrigerator, you boycotted the show, only to find out years later (and with much self-hatred) that Vegeta was resurrected by the Dragon Balls and you had quit watching for no reason at all. "

Can I be here too even if I'm a newbie??

A line from mine:
The day I stepped outside of the airplane wearing my wedge sandals in 15 degrees Celsius, 10,000 kilometers from home, not knowing anything about the language and the culture, I knew I was in for a 10-month adventure in another continent.

And my line:

Even the brightest student in class, Chris Douglas, was slowly reaching for his skateboard as he finished his essay on how Greek mythology mirrored the modern age, including a little joke about how Chuck Norris became the most powerful being in the universe since Zeus.

I'll do my best to keep up, even if I'm still a newbie :D

"A sound pierces the comfortable silence, and she groans at the voice of Kanye West singing her favorite Nietzsche quote. She curses the person who set that damnable ringtone, and scrambles to look for the offending piece of technology. She finally spots the cell phone hiding under her Neil Gaiman novel, and flips the phone, muttering an annoyed hello."

Add please. ^^v

Lines:

Because He who controls all, rules over both Selatan and Pendi. Selati or Pedika, they are just men, both created with programs and lifecodes. It is in his hands to end lifecodes. There are only differences in beliefs, in rules of law. But not in humanity.

At least that was what he was taught, by his own master. His master, who respected all life, friend or enemy.

First lines:

Lady Alixia Mit’Zahra was bored---something she couldn’t remember being in all her 16 years prior to being inducted into the Ylvan nobility, but a state she was becoming increasingly used to in the months since.
