If you so desire, the teams can make a Team A and Team B thread. You can also make up team names, as long as their rated PG.

Now that you've been assigned teams, every Saturday we expect you to send in your *entire* novel word count EVERY time. We'll then add up everybody's word count and post it in the weekly emails. Send them via NaNo Mail to the specified Team Captain, please. (Team A will send their count to Xana, and Team B will send them to Huushi.) Otherwise the word count will not be accurate!
YOU DO NOT NEED TO BE AT ANY MEETS TO DO THIS. Just type like mad, send your total word count BY Saturday. And Voila. The team who has the most word count at the end wins a prize.

If you have any questions, don't hesitate to ask.

Go team A-

We need something better like the Inverted Paradox's or the AntiTims's as he has taken his awesomeness to team B. I did my part toaday - just plugged my total for the day 10,044....however as I think I ruptured my brain I shall now fade into obscurity and coast to a win with a more substainable pace.

My name is on Team A twice by the way. I don't know if that affects your numbers or anything but just so you know.

What do you mean by entire word count. Like all we have written so far or just the numbers??

Wow, Ryan... 10,000 words on day one? That's awesome! Don't overload yourself though. LOL

Oh, and... GO TEAM B! :)

@Miss Krista- Too late for that although I wont be doing that again any time soon, I feel like a gumby...unbelievably Trinity is already at 2x that total. I'm not sure if I can think that many words in a single day without sufferng a mild hemmorage. Maybe we should do a her vs the rest of us to make it fair.

My opening is dying, but once I get to a more suitable plot point, my wordcount will vault to a more appropriate number... ^.^

And I have to have a moment of glee.... WE HAVE BECKY!!! (dances)

I'd like to know who, on team B, is using the voodoo doll to curse me...I had just started writing on the bus this morning when my nose suddenly began to spew blood as if I were a public fountain and thus held me to a mere 200 words on my entire trip. To expresss my displeasure I shall now speak in the royal tense and state that 'We are not amused'. This unprovoked attack is obviously a declaration of war and I will not rest - except when I have to - until I discover the culprit behind this heinous attempt on my life. I could have blooded to death you animal!

@Ryan
Dood, that is such a good story line. I have dibs on it. Voodoo nose bleeds.
Maybe its Voodoo H1N1. Maybe its the pigs getting us back. Man, thats another story....I'll shut up now.

Hey, PeTA, I have this book about the pigs getting revenge on humans, its caleld 'Humans In Blankets'! Wanna buy the rights. I can see it now being dished out to all the 5 year olds at school with gorey pictures on the cover ;)

Or maybe a NaNo horror. Everyday the person with the lowest word count gets murdered! As you start falling behind you start getting nose bleeds etc.

I'm all up for pointless violence. Besides, as of right now only Trinity would have an edge on myself...of course their's always a twist to those kind of stories so I like my chances of being the psycho who really is just jelous and tormented by his own inadequcies and is taking this out on everybody else. That or Tim did it...I'm starting to notice a reaccurring theme centering around that guy.

If you do go with the Nano Nostril Horror I get a share of the royalties for being your inspiration. Although, if you do recreate the scene would you please edit out all the crying and the high pitched squeeling. It was early, I was rather tired and nobody would give me a hug to comfort me even though I nearly bleed to death. Sniff...

Hey Shishi. Shhhhhh about the clones ok? Though, does our work count twice or do we have to do double the work?

Or maybe I should add my favorite tag line:

I am lost. I have gone to find myself. If I should return before I get back, please ask me to wait. :D

Theme song: I think I'm a clone now...

That would be me with the voodoo doll. That is because you went to the dark side of the Wrimotaurs. However one of the cats made off with it and that is the only reason you have a reprieve. I will be getting it back shortly.

As the great Doug Mackenzie once said - "Join the dark side you knob." How could I resist - and beside it has way more benefits that the "good" side.

As for the voodoo doll bring it as - 'I don't mind the pain.' - Glen Danzig

Can I join the team with the lower word count?? How do I join the team. Do I have to go to a meet thing? I really don't want to because it is so so so far away from where I live(falconridge, NE) I am afraid I would get lost.

Just as a reminder, the team word counts have already been sent out in the email last night for Week One. Each week they will be sent out in the weekly email.

Also, sign ups have since passed. I'm sorry for those who are still interested. Feel free to make a new thread asking others to have a one on one race! I'm sure others would be more than happy to challenge you!
