You astound me and inspire me at the same time. I'm taking my time, doing it slowly, as it's my first Nano and I'm just getting a feel for it! May I be the first to congratulate you on this though.

Really lucky wrists, and wrist braces, and frequent breaks. I'm honestly surprised on my fifth year (overachieving every year prior to this one, too) that I have absolutely zero wrist problems.

You've inspired me Kateness. If you can write 60k words in two days (and the second day isn't even over yet), then I can write 100k for the month, and now I'm going for it! And congrats to you for doing so well!

Wow Kate, that is awesome.

My boyfriend made a comment that he thought I did well with 10K in one day, so I told him how "this girl named Kateness" was doing. Now he wants updates how you're doing all the time. I think he's in shock that somebody can write so much so fast.

A BIG congratulations from me, Kateness! You really are an inspiration for what is possible! I'm just about to head off to hit 28K before midnight (Central Time), and 30K before I go to sleep, and when I started this, I had no idea that such a thing was possible. But you've sure proven me wrong!

Good luck with your incredibly fast-paced writing! :D You should be proud!

You ARE such an inspiration. I figured that 50K seems really easy, and now am aiming a lot higher - but the thing is, I don't know if I can push myself to doing it. I guess all of you overachievers will just have to make my competitive streak push me higher, even though I can't rival this, no WAY. Gratz!

Kateness, congratulations on your truly amazing count! Thank you for making me look human. I get tired of people going "I hate you, how do you do that?" I use the Dvorak keyboard layout and I'm disabled, so I don't have to show up to my day job as a cripple except when it schedules its own days. It's given me three of them this month.

Have you ever entered the http://www.3daynovel.com contest? I treated day one like I was doing a Three Day and made a strong start over 20k. You of course have been keeping that pace and probably have lots more body energy. It's fun. Costs $50 to enter officially but this year I dared to do it instead of just writing one and shoving it into the hard drive with the rest of the trunk novels. This year's other resolution is Edit and Submit.

Oh yeah, Kateness, is that one really long Stephen king or Robert Jordan type novel or is this a series you're writing?

I just went over 60k. 62,777 at end of Evil Chapter Thirteen. My goal for this novel is 80k. My goal for this November is to write three 80k novels. I need to finish this book on the 10th... and today I think I can do it because I got in my two chapters before two in the afternoon. If I get in even one more chapter today I'll have a solid chance even if I get sick again.

Lauren, congratulations on finishing your first Nanovel of the year! Whoohoo! That rocks! I'm behind you but I'll get there soon. Looks like you started another one!

60k for me! I'm almost twice the wordcount of where I was on this same day last year. I know that previous sentence was awful but I don't want to look at it or try to fix it. Doesn't everyone keep telling me to kill my inner editor? :P

Woot, I hit 60k today at a write-in. Everyone else there was right on track or behind and therefore hated me for a few seconds before congratulating me.

Just reached 60k! This was the least amount I wanted to get out of this novel but I actually have more story than 60k which is weird for me. I was on a roll today because I'm nearing the end! I predict the story will be over at about 65k.
