Hey peeps!

I started my writing yesterday en route from Banff after an attempted trip to the hot springs...sitting in the passenger seat, laptop on my ...lap top...tapping away another load of glorious Wrimo verbal vomit.

That led me to wonder: What's the weirdest place you've written for NaNoWriMo? Or conversely, your favourite place to write?

Cheers,
Jazz

The strangest place so far would have to be my work bathroom. As gross as it may sound, I got there an hour early and well, nature called. I took my ipod touch in there to quickly jot down a scene that had come to me on the way to work, settled down to do the deed while I was at it and before I knew it, a good half hour had passed and I heard someone unlocking the main door. Naturally I had to slam the thing shut and finish up least it raise interesting questions!

As for my favorite places to write away, I've got two.
There's a corner in my local Starbucks that has those wide single person couches. I love snagging one of them, sinking down, laptop on lap and tapping away like a mad thing during my lunch break. Since I know that I have a time limit, being my lunch break and all I focus there better then anywhere else, sipping my tea and writing away.
The second being infront of my home comptuer. I kick my feet up, have my main computer running and doing what needs to be done while I have my mini laptop, open on my lap, and don't allow myself to look at the other screen untill I've hit X amount of words. This way I can keep chatting on MSN without getting distracted, I call it Multitasking on a leash and so far it's worked really well!

The strangest place I've written... hmm, that's a hard one. I tend to write everything by hand when I'm not on a crazy limit like NaNoWriMo, so I write almost anywhere I possibly can. I wrote once at the dinner table and once while I was actually cooking.

My favorite place to write is at the coffee shop I frequent, but I don't wanna tell you where 'cause then you'll all go there too! Ha ha.

My laptop is currently broken so I am forced to write on my desktop at home in my room, which is difficult because I am an insomniac and my fiancee isn't so he likes to sleep. And I can't. So most nights I just lie awake thinking about what I'm going to write next. :)

I haven't written anyplace strange yet. This is my first NaNo and we're four days in, but I spent a good 5 hours at the Narah Hookah bar yesterday and it was fantastic! I would have to say that out of all the places I've tried writing this week Narah was my favorite.

ohh, I like this one! LOL

Strangest, though it doesn't seem strange at first, was in bed. The reason it was odd is because I was lying on my back with my notepad in front of my face, writing upside down. Good thing my pen is one of those 'astronaunt ink' ones or whatever they call them. LOL Anyway, I'd thought about getting out of bed, but I really just wanted to get the one scene done. =)

Favourite place is the Broken Stone. It's a little coffee and wine bistro down the road from where I live, and it's SO comfy during the day. Even at night, although it gets a little loud, it can still be pretty cozy.

I write everyday, except Saturday where I'm at a write in, at my local Starbucks.
