Hi guys, my name's Ryan Brosmer and I'm a journalism student at VCU in Richmond and I've been working on a series of stories about the writing community in Virginia and I'm trying to get in contact with people participating in NaNoWriMo and I figured this would be the easiest place to find you guys. If anyone felt like taking a minute out from furiously writing your novel I'd love to be able to ask you a few questions. You can get to me by e-mailing me at RyanBrosmer@gmail.com

I'd really appreciate hearing from anyone whether this is your first NaNoWriMo or if you're a veteran.

Thanks!
Ryan

Do you prefer published authors or are newbies okay too? If you don't mind an unpublished writer, send me an email (bloodcrossed@gmail.com). I live in Roanoke and I'd be happy to help you out.

Thank you to everyone who has responded to this! I've had a great response to the point that I'm still going through e-mails. I'm good for right now but I'll be wanting to talk to people near the end of the month to see how people have held up.

Thanks again and good luck!

Good luck with your article. BTW If you are still working on the series come April, there's a great convention in Richmond April 9-11th at the Convention Center named RavenCon. Just thought I'd give you a heads up for the future. :) There's a more relaxed convention that some writers go to in January out in Williamsburg as well. But the April one is very literary based with a focus on horror/scifi/fantasy. One of the guests from 2009 is doing NaNo this month and had a book on the NYT Bestseller for the last um... six weeks? I'm not real sure. I'm hoping she's coming back next year. :)
