So while I was in the book store today (I seem to get a lot of ideas from there....tehehe) I thought of this.

Post any inspiration quotes, pictures, stories, songs, etc, in this thread, to give hope to fellow writers!

Don't be a thermometer, be a thermos-stat.

My music teacher always tells us that.

To be yourself in a world that is constantly trying to make you something else is the greatest accomplishment.

Man it's hard to think of inspiring things that have been said to me...but one thing that really motivate me is the desire to see my own book on a shelf someday. Just imagine what it would be like to see your name on a dust collector on your shelf and to know that despite all the odd against you, you did it anyway. Also, if you have kids or even if you plan to some day when you actually finish your book you can honestly say to them that you actual did what most people never get around to and wrote a book. They will be proud of you - even if you write like Jane Austen on crack.
