As I'm trying to up my word count this evening, I'm also trying to brainstorm for ways we, as Pittsburgh WriMos, can raise money for OLL this year.

A bake sale sounds wonderful to me, I am a fan of baking for ANY reason! Or as was suggested by tinamats in the Philippines forum, see Fundraising for NaNoWriMo (and then some) , we could get our friends and family to pledge for us or something.

What say thee, WriMos?

I have a box of Funfetti Halloween cake mix that I failed to make in time for the holiday... The idea will be outdated, but the flavor still in season! :)

Oh hell yeah!

Where might such an even take place? Go tailgating and sell some baked goods to inebriated sports fans? :P

I LOVE baking. Give me an excuse to make a few dozen chocolate mud cupcakes, and I'm in.

I'd love to bake stuff!

Right now though this feels a little "step 1: bake, step 2: ......, step 3: profit" though. We need to figure out when/where this will take place. Flea markets?

Sweet! Do any flea markets go on around here this time of year?

I have a friend who organizes some events around the Pittsburgh Area, maybe I can ask her if she has anything coming up and if we can sit in with a fundraising event. Possibly donate some of the funds to the cause and the rest to OLL?

If we did a bake sale where would it be? I'm not opposed to sitting around selling food, but I can't actually bake anything (ah, dorm life *le sigh*)

I'll gladly donate some baked goods if you'll tell me when and where to bring them! :)

OLL could use the funding, and I'd love to see Pittsburgh higher up on the donations list!

I'm with Moss on this one - let me know when and where and I'm totally up for it!
