Come on, not all of us can meet our daily goals. Some of us have already gone OVERNINETHOUSAND, *cough* I mean well beyond our daily goal of 1666 and 2/3 words per day. However, there are plenty of people who are falling behind already. And even us, who go beyond it still arn't pulling out as many words as we would like.
So what's your guilty pleasure that's distracting you from this month?

Sadly, mine's Dungeons and Dragon's Online. It doesn't help that I started playing it on Halloween. (By the way, is anyone else crazy enough to attempt creating a Multiclass Palidin / Sorcerer for a solo character?) Sure, I'm still doing great being technically a day ahead and all (5534 at this point, 5000 is the three-day milestone) but I probably could have done more if it wern't for DDO.

So go ahead, share your embarassing stories of what's holding you back. The crazy stuff you've done with caffine to keep yourself awake. (which is making me wonder what Power Shot is all about...) What strange thoughs have occured to you while you try to remove yourself of writer's block? Tell it all!

Vanity is my downfall. Today I wrote something I was very pleased with, and so pleased I was, I ended up reading it over and over in my head, grinning like an idiot in a coffee shop all the while.

I wasted an hour doing that.

I tried to figure out what the idiot in the coffee shop was grinning about. I've been known to commit the occasional social faux pas and I kept trying to figure out if I had spinach stuck in my teeth, or if my shirt was on backwards and inside out, or if I had forgotten pants again. I wasted an hour doing that.

Sleep. No really. It's 5:02 AM and I've been sleeping since I got home from school. @.@ Also, I must check youtube, myspace and nanowrimo forums before I do anything else. @.@"

I've got an academic thing that needs to be finished tonight. So I might be behind until tomorrow.

I'll catch up between Wednesday and Saturday, though.

-Internet in general.
-Yesterday, lack of focus and lack of sleep.
-Need to fulfill other responsibilities (prep for a literature discussion group; make beads for guild exchange)
-The belief that I need to some more research.
-frustration with my own frustration (oh the layers)
-and, um, not a guilty pleasure, per se, but mood swings (and the temptation to give into them).

On the positive side, last week I refrained from signing up for on-line DVD rentals.

Um...school? Also, today's my mom's birthday, and I have to make lentil soup for lunch for her...and we might be going to see the new Christmas Carol movie when it comes out...and...and....

But I'm actually keeping up quite well. It's still early in the day, and I only have 300 more words to go for today. I've discovered I can fill up a whole bunch of space with descriptions. Yay! :3

All while aspiring to reach your level of both quantity and quality of words... I would love to have a sentence that left me grinning for an hour instead of slamming my head onto the keyboard.

I am so worried about when I'll have time to write today, working a 12-9 shift...that I forgot I could write in the morning before I go to work.
Also I spend some fun time on the Internet--especially Blip.fm. Makes me wish I had one of those cool itouchphonemp3players, so I could listen to Blip all day long. While I write. Of course.
