I hate shouting, but it's occasionally useful. :)
As you know from the calendar, there's a write-in at the Round Rock Vino 100 Wednesday, from 6-9PM. Here's the scoop:
It's a WINE store. But there's beer as well (snooty and plebian both), and folks can buy coke, diet coke, red bull, arizona iced tea & diet iced tea.
For those 21 and above, there's a special on wines with a mystery theme: Phantom and Masquerade are $1 off per glass. People can buy any wine by the bottle (drink there and take home leftovers, or just buy bottles to go), order cheese platters, quesadillas and all manner of other nummies

Forgive my stupidity, but what is/are Phantom and Masquerade? I might try a glass of wine (sweet ones like Riesling, please) and definitely Arizona iced tea. Maybe some noms (a favorite word around our house) as well.

I'll RSVP as well! This is likely my only chance to make a Wednesday evening write-in, so I'm planning on being there. As usual, I'll hit every write-in I can manage in the first week, while I have a little time off work!
No wine for me, though. I've got much too far to drive to get home to be drinking anything alcoholic.

I'll RSVP too! This is place is very close to my house, so I don't have to drive far for it! ^^
No alcohol for me, it makes it harder to type. ;) I'll probably stick with water, maybe a pop (something like a soda, but from the midwest) here and then when I need the caffeine. Maybe when I'm about to head home I'll try a sip of something... but that's about it since I'm a lightweight. XD
Also, is it alright if I bring my own caffeine in the form of gum (Jolt Gum) or mints (some random brands)? They aren't "food" or "snacks", but a source of caffeine to keep the brain going. Plus they hit the system much faster than other sources of caffeine. :D

Red bull doesn't effect me sadly. Monster and Nos do though! :) I have a big stock of Monster in my fridge for precisely that reason. I'll have to drink one before I leave - I've been up for far too long already. :D

Long story short, looks like I'm not gonna make it tonight. Plot bunnies seem to have sucked all of the charge out of my car's battery. Luckily, my husband is good with this sort of thing and he is working on the issue as we speak. Bad news, I'll have to stay home and type tonight. :(
