NaNoWriMo Survival Tip #2

Make sure to drink plenty of water during November. Taking care of you body and keeping it hydrated will help you to be more productive. I am having to take my own advice. It's easy for me to forget to drink water and consume massive amounts of soda while I'm spending hours in front of the computer writing.

Are you guys hanging in there? Have you been meeting your daily word goals?

I tripled the standard NaNo wordcount so far, I think. And I owe it all to Dasani. *wink*

I drink water all the time...after I have my tea in the morning.

I've surpassed my word count goals, so far. I haven't done any writing yet today because of a headache, but it's finally going away, so I'm going to give myself a one-hour writing sprint and see what I can come up with. :)

What's this hydration of which you speak? I always could use more water. ^__^

I'm one day ahead on my word count, but I know if I have a bad evening and fall behind I'll probably never catch up, so I need that buffer.

I really should drink more water. I don't buy soda's, but I do buy orange juice and milk, so if I forget to put some water in the fridge so it'll be cold, I always have that. Even so, I forget to replace the water way too often. So thanks for the reminder!

I got off to a bit of a late start, but I'm going to meet today's count and go from here, so I should be gold!

Such good advice! I'm so bad at getting caught up with what I'm doing and not drinking anything. I actually had to drop out of NaNo last year thanks to medical problems that arose because of that horrible longstanding habit. I was getting less than half of the fluid in a day I should be and it was just not a good thing. Come the second week of NaNo, it caught up with me. So, this year I'm back with pen, paper and water bottle in hand, determined to get my 2 liters of 02 and make my 1667 words a day!

It's going well so far (on both fronts). I'm 182 words below the goal for the 3rd and am loving the project so far! It needs work, but my inner editor isn't screaming too loudly just yet so I'll take it! :)

I hope it's going well and continues to do so for everyone!

Cheers,
Senedra

I tend to drink to much soda myself. And of course it had to happen. My computer went down for three days, but I finally caught up tonight and I am even a couple thousand words ahead of schedule.

First of all, how'd you get the word count calendar? Very cool!

I am keeping hydrated pretty well. We don't keep sodas at the house, but my weakness is sweet tea... Which is mostly water, right? :-)

Happy writing to everyone and don't worry if you get bogged down, just keep writing. Keep the editing aside for later. Even if you are brainstorming on the page, it counts as writing and helps the word count!! :-)
