The Marvelous Melody has come through for us and sent me the following information:

"I gave Leakey's a call today about the Inverness meet up and they seem happy to have us. However, it does get very busy on Saturdays so we would either have to go not long after they open or before they close so as to miss the lunch-time rush. Charles said it would probably only manage to be about an hour and a half and we would all need to purchase something (even just a drink) from the cafe to be there.

Anyway, to cut to the jist of it, they are happy to take us but would like it formalised. They would like to know an idea of how many people would be attended (as accurate a number as possible) as soon as possible. I was wondering if perhaps you could ask people somehow if they would be attending to get numbers as quickly as I can for Charles."

So folks this is your chance. The afternoon would be best for me, say about 3 to half 4. I know they make wonderful chocolate cake.

So if you can make it the afternoon of the 14th. I need an RSVP in here.

Well done and many thanks to Melody.

That sounds great.

As long as it's after 12 I can definitely make it! :)

It will depend on train times and meet up times for me as I'll be down in perth on friday night.
If a definite time gets set soon I can see if the train times work.

I'll say I'm in too, if only for the chocolate cake. ^_^

Looking forward to it!

Sounds great but I'm in Orkney so can't make it. 5 hours in a car and 2+ on a boat (possibly a very rough boat) are too much for me, even for chocolate cake:-)

How amazing is this! A write-in in the coolest bookshop I've ever seen...

I am in Fort William 13/14/15 November and Inverness is a lot closer to Fort William than Innerleithen is, so I'm definitely coming along.

See you on the 14th.

Cheerio!

All right my best beloved,

I've set up a reservation for us on Saturday from 3 to half 4.

Come prepared to write. I'll have stickers.

I'll be easy to find.

I am a short, fat, white haired, grandma lady and I'll be wearing a frightening Florescent Green T shirt that says "Yes, I am in charge here."

Looking forward to seeing you all.

PS if it is snowing (unlikely) all bets are off. I don't drive in the snow, the deer are enough of a road hazard for me.

Just to confirm, I'll be there but a touch late. My train gets in about ten past three so expect me by about quarter past. I'll be the short, fat, dark haired, rushed and flustered looking one. Save me a seat!

No worries, I remember you from last year.

I'm looking forward to this. I sure hope the rest of you show up.

I'll be there! I'll be the short chick with short messy hair and a jacket with too many zips.

If anyone could do with a lift in the Dingwall area give me a shout, btw.

We came, we met, we wrote, we drank caffeinated drinks, we ate chocolate, we got stickers! We were also blinded by the brightness of Marie Rex's tee-shirt, but the less said about that the better. :)
Good to meet everyone.

Anne

Hey thanks to Marie Rex and to Melody for organising the Write-in.

It was seriously good fun and really productive. In fact I don't think I have ever been so productive. Thank you!

I now have three incentive sweets from the Write-in sitting beside me - each one with a 1000 Word Reward label on it ... here goes 3000 words with 3 delicious prizes to be won.

Dunkv.

You are most welcome.

It is fun to do the write in with other folks doing the same thing. Keeps the energy flowing.

If you get low on stickers, let me know. I'll get you more.

Go for those reward prizes.

Keep Writing
