Got almost 8K so far! Still going strong!

But I wanna know what you guys think! Take a look at my profile and read the Prologue there.

Let me know what you think!

Thanks,

Felicia

Also, any Nano's in Moriarty? We should all get together!

I'm in edgewood, which is really close (practically the same place), I'd totally be up for an east mountain meet up!

Way to go Felicia!
As a matter of fact, I work in Moriarty and live in Edgewood. (I'm editor of the Telegraph.)
Good luck!
Rory

Awesome guys! And thanks Rory and GSmith!

Well Edgewood or Moriarty work for me. XD We should get the word out! Rory can make an announcement in the Telegraph!

Ideas?

We have the Mickie D's here and in Edgewood. We have the El Comedor in Moriarty, Lisa's, etc. The Moriarty Civic Center has big meeting rooms as well. Ideas? We could have a Writeathon or something.

Rory, so THAT'S where you are now. You're going to like my NaNo novel this year ... I'm drawing rather much on my fond memories of the sports desk at the Journal ...

Felicia,

Moriarty hasn't got much in meeting places. The library is pretty welcoming. I started a writing group there years ago that's still going strong. they meet on Wednesday evenings, though, and work takes me to ABQ then. Trouble is the library closes pretty early and the other rooms in the Civic Center are pretty sterile, not real conducive to inspiration.
There is a book store just west of Harts Hardware that does Harry Potter readings and anime stuff, but I don't know if that is really an ideal place. I have a hard time finding any place away from the office on my lunch hour to sit and relax. The park'snice during the summer, but a little cold right now.

Carol Anne,
I'm wracking my poor addled brain trying to remember you, but your name doesn't ring any bells. When did you work at the Journal? Give me some hints (And I apologize up front about this, I'm pretty bad with remembering these things.)

Rory,

It was a long time ago ... I think I only met you once or twice. It was your wife (arrrgh, speaking of can't remember names) who worked at the Journal sports desk at the time (when she wasn't off getting married to you), after being one of my crack reporters at the Daily Lobo. I was the agate clerk and Grammar Goddess.

Carol Anne,
Yeah, I talked to my wife, Robin. She remembered you. I was just a young cub then. I hadn't even got my first job. It's been awhile and things have really changed at the J.
Good to hear from you. Ironically enough, while Muder at the Sports Desk is funny, Robin and I met at the Albuquerque Little Theater while doing a play together.
