Hi all

We had such a great turn out for the Kick Off and first write in, it was brilliant to see so many new and old faces. I hope we will see you all again on Saturday 7th November, at the Coffee Lounge in the Basement. It will start at 12 noon once again

On another note, Lily and I will be meeting at the Coffee Lounge between 10 and 10:30am for breakfast at the Victorian Resturant, their full english breakfast is £5.50 you can have veggie if you wish as well. Or anything else, lols.

Second Write In - Coffee Lounge - 12 Noon

For early breakfast - meet outside Coffee Lounge - 10am to 10:30am

We hope to see you at the Write in

And well done all of you so far our total word count is soaring :D go pat yourselves on the back.

Sue and Lily.

I won't be able to make it I'm afraid - I've got entirely too much work to do, and am ill to boot. I'll aim to make the next one, but that's gonna be a touch and go as well as next week is a very busy week as well. :(

I'll do my best to make this one, as making the next two after it is going to be tough.

I'll definitely be there for the write in! Would it be okay for me to bring a friend with me who isn't doing NaNo? She's got an interest in writing but wouldn't do NaNo even though I tried to persuade her to. It's just that I'm not too keen on the idea of getting on a train all by myself :/

I plan to be there, although I seem to be getting sick so I hope I'm not too sick by then :-(

I won't be able to make this one due to lack of funds, but the one on the 14th I shall be able to make. I'm looking forward to it ^^.

You are more than welcome to bring non-NaNo friends with you. XD

My plan to attend the last write-in fell afoul of Sunday's repairs to the x-city line. My fiancée's parents are visiting this weekend, so I don't know if I'll be able to attend the next one either.

We'll see.

When are you guys usually there until? I'd love to come but I'm at roller derby until 1 and then usually wiped out from that until at least 2! If you'll be about till 3 or so I can probably make it for the last little bit

I think it closed at about three last time but they are often there longer (and that was a Sunday not a Saturday).

I won't make it, since I'm in sole charge of the kids on Saturday, but enjoy your writing. I may sneak into Starbucks on my own on Sunday for old time's sake...

We normally leave around 3 or 4. I think Coffee Lounge closes at 4:30 but I'm not quite sure about that.

We'll probably be there until it shuts anyway. :)

I should be there, I'm still sad that I missed the kick off. My car is STILL not working even after a week, but my mum is being wonderful and has offered to drop me into Birmingham *does a little dance* so I'll see you guys there!

Saturdays are usually crazy and I'm catching a train at 3pm but I may try to drop in for an hour - it's good to meet new people and I can stop feeling like this NaNoWriMo thing is my dirty little secret ;)

I absolutely hate that I will probably not make it to a single session. The closest I may get is next saturday (not this one) where I'm meeting people in Birmingham at about half one, so I'll be able to pop in for about an hour maybe. Hopefully.

(I waited so long to get a job, WHY did it have to be Nano season?)

Hope to be able to make it - perhaps being around other participants will help me claw back my deficit.

I'll be there, though it'll mainly be for the craic. I do best at writing when there are no distractions, and I'd class a room full of people I'll probably want to talk to as a fairly large distraction!

Won't be there this time - I've a course to go on in London - but aiming to be around for the others.

Sorry I missed the last one ... just after I arrived at Coventry station a tree fell over the cables so the line was shut and I didn't fancy going Coventry to Birmingham via Rugby & Wolverhampton (anyone know the GK Chesterton poem about the rolling English road?).

Hope it goes well.

Actually, I've just realised I won't be able to go tomorrow, I need all day to build up a buffer and I'm going out on the night.

Hi All,

I won't be able to make the write-in tomorrow as I'm suffering from the dreaded flu at the moment. Its killed any creativity I may have had, I haven't managed a single word so far today and I don't want to infect any of you guys. I'll be there on the 14th though.

Ginger :o)

Seconded - very nice to meet you all. I was a little nervous, hence didn't talk too much, but found it really good for writing in a convivial atmosphere.

Hope to make it to at least some of the rest of 'em.

Hope to be there on the 14th, but ned to know two things:

1. Is it wheelchair accessible? Not just the front door, but the bit where we'll actually be writing?

2. Are there power outlets? My laptop is old and has no battery life at all. If there are no power outlets then I'll still be there, but I'm not lugging along my laptop if there's no way to use it!

All being well, see you on the 14th!

1. As far as I know it's not wheelchair accessable :( It's one of the only problems with the coffee lounge. But if you want tell us what time to expect you and I'm sure that we can arrange to have some people up there to keep you company. For a more exact time if you PM me then I can give you my mobile number and you can send me a text when you arrive? The top bit gets too crowded for us all to be up there but I'm sure a couple of people would be happy to relocate to give you a bit more involvement with the write-in.

2. Yep there are tons of power outlets. I can think of any in the top bit right now. But towards the back of the coffee lounge there are a few little steps. Below that there are outlets. (There's a door at the side so you don't need to come down the steps, that's just the best way to explain where it is.)
