Hi All,

Tonight's Fort Worth write-in will be at 'The Covey' :

3010 South Hulen Street
Fort Worth, TX 76109

I'll be there as early as I can to snag some tables in front of the tv in the bar (outlet area) so can we say around 6:30? I'll be the Indian girl in scrubs - probably without a laptop since mine died spectacularly yesterday evening. I'm gonna get it looked at today so maybe..it'll be fixed by tonight....maybe. ;)

If you think you can make it - just chuck me a message so I'll know how many chairs to snag!

I'm iffy - my husband said he might have to work late. If he is home early enough I'll likely show since my Wednesday knit night is in the same area and I can write a couple hours, then hit Borders to knit for at least an hour, too.

Writing at home isn't working as well as writing in other places this year. The distractions are different.

Sweet - I'm looking forward to this tonight since I figure if I can't get the laptop fixed, I can attempt to concentrate on old-fashioned writing instead of work stuff, lol

I hate to ditch this one, but I won't be able to make it. I'm in dire need of some sleep tonight.

Haha - I totally get you, I'm still tired from Monday! ;)

Oh and since my laptop is officially 'dead' (overheated motherboard...boo) I'm looking for some recommendations for a new laptop? Anyone absolutely LOVE theirs so much, they'd recommend it?

It's a tiny bit pricey but I absolutely loved my old mac book. I could run music and edit video off the cable for four or five hours non-stop on one full charge. Plus the small ones are super portable.

Hey all -

Last night at The Covey was pretty cool - the atmosphere is great and quiet for those interested in a calm atmosphere to write in - plus the 'Pint Night' two buck beers made it all the better! (Also, I noticed several extension cords added by the establishment, so fear not laptop-people!)

( Here's a shameless plug for the restaurant people - I had their soup d'jour - Creamy Eggplant & Prime Rib. Let me tell you - that is probably the best soup I've ever tasted. Definitely order it if you have a chance! )

The bad news - I sadly didn't get a lot of writing done since I write better typing on my now-deceased laptop - I've forgotten how time consuming writing 'by hand' really is! For those out there that are doing it by hand - allow me to laud and salute you. The good news - I'm probably going to purchase a new laptop asap!

Hopefully I can show it off at the next write-in - see ya next Monday at the Saucer!

Heya Everyone!

Just a quick reminder to anyone that's interested - I'll be at The Covey tomorrow (hopefully @ 6:30 if no acts of God prohibit me from running late...again) for a couple hours of solid writing/studying (I have a new laptop now!) and delicious beer consumption.

Allow me to rave about their beers - they're seriously good, folks. Here's the beer menu: http://www.thecovey.com/Beverages.html - Even better since it's their 'all day happy hour day' thing @ $2.50 on house beers!

Feel free to drop on by - if there's another FW write-in nearby, could someone chuck a message my way? I may pop in after a couple hours writing. :)

Heya! I'm @ The Covey right now - in a booth if anyone's in the area - just look for the only person on a laptop in a booth!

It's pretty packed tonight, but it's still pretty awesome. :) Hope everyone else is having fun tonight - I sure know I am now that my Simcoe IPA is here!

Cheers!

Guh. After much food and drink consumed - I'm finally at home. Covey was awesome, though it was just moi again - for next Wednesday anyone want to volunteer/suggest a different write-in somewhere else in Fort Worth? I don't mind writing by myself, but I do wonder where the other FW NaNo'ers are on Wednesday evenings!

Heya NanoWrimo'ers!

Just a reminder for tonight's write-in at The Covey - I should be there for just about an hour and some change - if you think you can make it, just chuck me a reply!
