Probably as his sisters.
If his sisters are identical/look very similar, depending on his personality, he would probably clarify that they're triplets, since they might be often referred to as "the twins" and that could annoy him.
----------My friend is a triplet with two near-identical brothers (apparently they're actually not identical) who are always called "the twins" and it drives her mad.
